That's right J, there was a big punch up at the press conf that made all the back pages.
By the time they met at the Royal Albert Hall on Bonfire Night, there was, literaly, an explosive atmosphere: fireworks going off inside the building.
Both hit the deck in the first round in a real barn burner.

yip i can just about recollect all that as a young lad, though my memory was jogged by a book i read last year, Cass Pennant's autobiography (who I believe Mr Mcdonnell was chatting to at a party not so long ago) was top boy in the ICF, i think theres a fairly detailed chapter in there on the Kaylor Christie set to.
moreover my boss is ICF and used to "run" with Cass in those days of hostile football games.
believe both of them have calmed down considerably in their middle age, thank heavens!

Good work Ian, fair play to ya mate. All the hard work is paying off.
I haven't picked up this month's BM yet, but will have a look today.

I've enjoyed Ian's work over at BBN for a while now, and his articles in the ill-fated Uppercut magazine were superb. Glad to see him making a further impact, he's a good enough writer to deserve it.
