I’d be surprised if they sell the arena even to 30%. They’ll have Heaney on there no doubt.

I've never been arsed about it tbh, Frank's bent over backwards to build it up and make it happen, Arthur won soundly with 1 arm and he was the defending champ, I can understand maybe if Yarde had lost the Commonwealth but it was a failed challenge, champ needs to move on

I know Arthur is from Manchester, but he’s probably less known than Terry Flanagan was.

Sounds like a bonkers business decision. Birmingham made perfect sense, due to the size of arena 10-15k set up I believe and local ticket sellers like Lennox Clarke on the card.

Does Arthur sells many tickets? Why put all that pressure on himself having to carry an event..

So Warren has gone legal on Arthur now and has lodged a complaint with the board of control.

Apparently Arthur was open to fighting on October 9th but only in Manchester. The Arena wasn’t available but his team requested they look at Old Trafford. Frank wanted in Birmingham.

I think Warren will go with a show in Birmingham on October 9th with Heaney and other surrounding Midlands fighters and will then try and make Yarde/Arthur for the end of October in Manchester.

Never good to fall out with your fighter/promoter and for things to get legal. Seems to happen with Frank more than most.

Frank is more of a promoter to Yarde than he was ever to Arthur.

Arthur has the win over Yarde. He should call the shots.

Arthur was on his bike the first time, there's no way he won it Just another example of runners being credited with rounds they didn't win. Yarde is levels above him.

Queensbury don’t seem to know what’s going on at times. Wherever the show and regardless of who’s on it they shouldn’t be announcing a show less than 4 weeks for an arena show. Particularly when they don’t have other shows announced.

THE BLOCKBUSTER REMATCH between Lyndon Arthur and Anthony Yarde will take place at the Copper Box Arena in London on Saturday December 4, live on BT Sport.

The showdown between the two top light heavyweights falls a year on from the pair's close-fought Battle of Westminster at Church House, where Arthur prevailed on the cards of two of the three judges and retained his Commonwealth title, while adding the vacant WBO Intercontinental belt to his collection.

More importantly, Arthur's victory saw him steal a march on his rival and become the No.1 ranked contender for the WBO world title currently held by the American Joe Smith jr.

Yarde (21-2), who dropped down to 12, is desperate to avenge his loss and leapfrog Arthur (19-0) and return to the top of the rankings ahead of a mandatory challenge being assigned to Smith jr.

Arthur maintained his unbeaten record as a professional and added a 13th KO to his tally with victory over the Italian Davide Faraci at the Royal Albert Hall in July, with Yarde returning to winning ways with a quickfire stoppage of Alex Theran in Birmingham at the end of August.

Now Yarde and Arthur will again trade bombs with each other once again, this time in front of fans at the atmospheric Copper Box on the edge of the Olympic Park.

Promoter allegedly said: "This is a fight that needs an audience roaring them both on. It was a decent fight last time but there was something big missing and that was the fighters being inspired by fans in the arena.

"I believe the fans at the Copper Box will make a huge difference and we will get something very special from Lyndon and Anthony.

“We had tried to get the Arena in Manchester but venue availability was a struggle. That said, I have absolute faith that the London audience will get behind the fight and roar them both on.

“Lyndon and Anthony are both world class, explosive light heavyweights and putting them together again makes for a huge domestic occasion.

"The stakes are very high. The winner will sit in the No.1 spot with the WBO and be firmly in place for a world title shot in 2022.

I think Yarde stops him and its a very weird thing for me to think having seen a 1 handed aurther beat yarde recently. But it comes down to if he can pull the trigger.

I just think at this point Yarde has to see that he is going nowhere being hesitant, has to of seen what that has done to AJ, and surely is willing to risk gassing to rumble. When he gassed vs Kov he through 8393 full power bombs in the 8th vs a high levle guy and still lasted till 11. he can still fight agressive without going to that dark a place.

That said, AJ probably knows all that and he still couldent pull the trigger vs usyk the minds a bitch.

Yes. Pat didn't take it very well! I think "punch your fukking head in" and "I've never left the roads" were used.

What does ‘back to the road’ mean?! Was he a taxi driver? Looking to get back into lorry driving given the higher wages they now get?

I’ve just listened to a 2 minute highlights of the press conference. I didn’t think I could dislike Tunde anymore than I did but yet I do. The ‘I talk, you listen’ stuff to Arthur, the back to the road stuff and talking about himself in the 3rd person.
