Perhaps not. I assumed they were as they did it in the last Olympics and every time I’ve wanted a watch a live fight (I’ve only really had time to watch the Brits so far) they’ve been available live online on the BBC site. I’d be amazed though I’ve they’re over there - will just be using a feed in the U.K.

That’s my most dislikes rude boy phrase. Took me a few years to actually get what they meant.

Yeah and the fact he’s never boxed will always be held against him. Did he even train?

Dean Powell didn’t box but he was not really criticised for it and I agree. Dean was well respected. A real gent and loss to boxing. But thing is Dean did train as a boxer in an amateur gym, when it was decided he’d be better as a trainer….. so that’s still worthwhile experience.

Someone on here told me boxing is a closed shop. Far from it , boxing is the only major sport where you can be given world champions to train because of who your mates are. Imagine if Ben decided to get into football and Man Utd made him manager.

Baffles me. Hopefully he doesn’t balls up Taylor.

Why did Billy choose him though? What is Ben’s background?

He seems a nice young man full of potential tbh. I think he can go on to do good things. It reminds of when Adam booth emerged and was deemed the worse trainer in the world who was gonna disappear over night. The same ‘fans’ who discredit joe Gallaghers achievements.

He was a kid who always liked coaching, started off football coaching, then he started going down and helping out down the local boxing gym and studying the game.
He was local to BJS and when he was starting out he helped Billy by holding the bag, watching the time, pads etc.
Over time they developed a relationship where BJS liked and trusted him and Davison started doing more.
In that time Ben was gaining more experience down the gym and developing himself, I think in fact it was him who trained BJS for one of his world title fights.
Anyway it was BJS who then introduced Ben to Tyson Fury, they clicked, and that was the start of Davison making a name for himself.

Sounds like the perfect grounding to be an elite pro coach in world heavyweight title fights

Fury fought great, put on a masterclass when nobody thought he could.

They clearly had a plan which was executed well, Tyson won by a mile.

Roach wasn't neutral, he was looking for work, and Davison had come from nowhere and jumped the queue.

and then he got aggressive and stopped him in 6 and won every round and never got dropped......totally bizarre for anyone to have a hissy fit about roach not liking the first fight strategy. he's a pro trainer ffs, his whole livelihood is strategy and assessing things like that, not to suck ben's cock
