Dr. Duke and Joe, he attacked me when I made my opinion, which was my choice as you guys and I know we respect our opinion and this guy making pointless opinion on certain fighters that he wanted us to change our opinion that he can't force us to do. He was saying this to make his opinion matters not ours and he couldn't let go with this subject.
That's his hobby to put similar paragraphs of nonsense here and there. He's like EO from the curret scene forum, probably also has patterns with nonsense on his favorite subjects and brings those on every opportunity.

Can't believe that we are going back to the amateur ranks to criticize Bowe. Can't remember the last time somebody did that.
Of course a fighter's amateur record counts as evidence about his physical qualities. Certain characteristics, such as durability, power, upper-body strength, speed, and possibly even intangibles (such as instinct and mental attributes) are just as present during a guy's amateur career as they during his subsequent professional years.
After all, a fighter doesn't magically turn into an entirely different person just because he takes out of professional license.
So yes, taking a look at someone's amateur record does yield insight into how a guy can or can't absorb a power punch. Over time, something like durability tends to remain consistent, regardless of whether the fighter is amateur or pro.
By contrast, his technical skills and overall ability level tends to change dramatically after he gets a few tough years in as a pro. But physical traits - like chin - tend to stay constant. But concerning Bowe, we're not talking about his overall ability level or technical skills. We're addressing the issue of his durability.
Have almost never heard of someone bringing up a guys amateur career. I think it's almost irrelevant.
Yes fighters are born with some attributes naturally. However, it doesn't mean that it all says that way.
Bowe was not the same fighter at all as an amateur as he was as a season pro fighting Evander Holyfield.
Fighters learn how to absorb punches as they gain experience. They learn to ride punches. A punch that may have hurt a guy in his amateur career early in his pro career might not hurt him later on.
Joe Frazier was decked by Mike Bruce early in his career. Frazier proved that he had a good chin. We can come up with many examples of this. Larry Holmes was decked by Duane Bobick as ana amateur. We can go on and on.
Durability and chin is not just something you are born with. To some extent it can be developed.
And again we should not just cherry pick what is convenient. Klitschko was stopped by Purrity, Sanders and Brewster. Decked three times by Peter and Williamson. We can't just make excuses for all of that (which is a lot) and then pull out a an amateur knockdown and make it out to be a big deal.

I certainly didn't mean to "attack you". It was nothing personal; just a disagreement. Sorry you felt this way.

Nothing personal too and glad you know that it was the disagreement over certain fighters' strengths and weakness for the outcome of any mythical fight. Like it goes saying, I come to agree to disagree.
