He got a lot of money for the 3 Fury fights. Enough to hold him for a while. Maybe he will come back, but it will be money. Hard to fight for anything less than a championship when he defined himself as one for so long.

Would be a travesty if he dosent. So many fin fights left to go un done.
I think bare minimum there is the AJ fight at some point. Even if he were to take easy touches till that comes about.

He made excuses for the second fight to retain the belief in his mind, which led him to asking for the 3rd.
Now he can't console the fact he isn't the baddest man on the planet, his "bomb" has been defused. He is neutered in front of everyone except those on his payroll.

I said something similar. Wilder isn't going to believe he's the second best. He's made himself believe all that nonsense as to why he lost the second fight so he can maintain that belief. He doesn't have that now. He does believe in God, who is the only other excuse he can have. God didn't want him to win. It'll take some serious mental gymnastics for him to find a reason to still believe he's the number 1 guy.
It would be easier for him to settle 'knowing' that he was number 1 for years, and that God wants him to move on.
He either retires or comes back, obsessed with another 'redemption' match.

Apparently the Nevada State Athletic Commission will not permit Wilder to fight until the 8th April 2022 unless he is cleared by a doctor.
But I believe that it’s normal for all fighters to receive a temporary suspension immediately after a bout.

The problem with the attitude that you will go out on your shield is that it seldom happens. What actually happens in 99% of the cases is that the boxer lives while taking far too much punishment in too many beatdowns. Then the boxer lives the rest of his nearly inevitably shortened lifespan in a very diminished state, physically and mentally.
Wilder has nothing to prove. He gave it his all and found his level. He has plenty of money and a family to care for. He SHOULD retire, but he very likely will fight on.

Malik Scott has been quoted in another interview confirming Wilder's intention to return to the ring.
And Shelly Finkel says that Wilder is currently interested in facing Anthony Joshua.
Everything coming out of Team Wilder, based on multiple interviews, is that Deontay intends to continue fighting.

Regarding physical health, he should retire, but ego will trump that. I'd favor him over most, excepting Fury and Usyk.

I still want to see Wilder fight Joshua, whether it's for a title or not. They are two of the top 4 heavyweights of this era, both have had world titles - their careers would seem incomplete to me if they don't fight each other.
Also I'd like to see Wilder-Ruiz and Wilder-Parker. Both Ruiz and Parker are former world titleholders and would make for interesting matchups and elevate Wilder's legacy if he defeats them..

If the heavyweight title does become unifed/undisputed the lure to fight for it will surely appeal to him. It'll be a big fight whoever he faces. He just has to keep himself in the picture.

of course he will, i think wilder is more likey to fight again than fury, its easier once you have lost as you dont have that shame of losing your zero which i dont get, its like people when they get a new car they drive super slow or cautious till they get a scratch , i think ruiz is the fight for wilder next which is very watchable
