Well I suppose I always believed Wilder was the bigger single-shot puncher but Joshua was not far behind and they both had the power to knock out the other. I was confident that Joshua had the skills to make him the man to land first and most often, and with powerful combinations that Wilder wouldn't be able to take.

This is still fundamentally sound in my opinion but two things have changed for me. Firstly despite those skinny legs I have greater respect for Wilder's ability to stand up or get up after severe and continuous bombardment. Perhaps I should have been fully onboard with this before. Secondly if Wilder can land hard on Fury and put him on queer street then I'm sure he can find Joshua's chin. His head movement is practically non-existent compared to Fury's and we've all seen him wobbled by punches nowhere near the power that Wilder throws.

I fear Joshua is suffering a crisis of confidence since losing his titles first time around. He definitely seems gunshy and has lost his swagger. I don't think the Joshua who lost to Usyk fares any better against Wilder or Fury. I never thought I would ever type such a thing :verysad:
