He won't be fighting a 20 stone lump of blubber when he rematches Usyk,he's in for more of the same but more painful next time.The trouble is his arrogance won't allow him to take the small end of the wedge now so going to be very difficult to match him with Fury.Anyone he does fight who's decent will stand a very good chance of stopping him as he looked chinny to me last time out.

I don’t understand why AJ would carry on if he lost. Why risk his health when he’s so well off? Retire Nas become a professional celebrity. He’s so media likeable he will always get gigs… he needs to stop boxing and start a new career

Yeah, how he fights is more important than whether he wins from the marketing angle. Another timid performance and he'll only have Fury left to call out (with fewer fans wanting it), but if he runs Usyk to an MD or thereabouts, I don't think that's the end of his career at all.

It's imperative he does better, but if Fastcar's able to sell Usyk as the Norton to his Ali, he'll lose money but not necessarily momentum.

Usyk isn't a young man. Winning the HW titles was his number 1 aim. He's done that now, so I'm not sure how long he really has left. I can see him retiring if he beats AJ, leaving on an incredible high. He's not a career heavyweight, so his desire to be a long time heavyweight champion won't be as heavily embedded as AJ or Fury or Wilder. Right now, he's No 1 ranked. That's his dream.

If Usyk beats AJ then retires, it blows it open for AJ to continue.

Even if he doesn't retire immediately, AJ is what, 4-5 years younger? That's a fair bit of time.

If he loses, I think he'll keep quiet for a while, hoping that Usyk enjoys his sunset before attempting a comeback like Fury did.
To me, it's more a question of how long Usyk carries on, as AJ isn't the kind of bloke that would be happy to stay around not being the best.

If it was a soft fight for a WBC title then maybe he can bluff his way to a win without a rigorous training routine ?

Aj is still the draw, which is why the rematch is in the UK again.

However if he loses this one convincingly, I think he will lose a lot of fans .

AJ finally became real in that interview. Almost admitted the commercial sh it got to him. Names five people in his training team plus 3 trainers... sounds like he does more at Finchley than anywhere else.

I'm listening to his IFL interview - I hope it picks up, he is just a walking cliche and seems to not realise he was struggling against Usyk. Basically because his team didn't tell him categorically "you are losing this fight" he didn't seem to think he was. Obviously not claiming it was a robbery but all that "its different when you are in there" and "I was touching him with the jab" which is why he didn't change his tactics mid fight.

Seems angry (which I like) but at the same time clueless - seems like he wants a huge team cos he is a "sponge".

Basically says he going to do the gameplan as instructed by his team and he is not interested himself in watching videos of his opponents. He is just a complete robot.

When you see Emma Radacanu basically saying at 18 that she needs to learn to coach herself and basically saying the right thing that when push comes to shove it will be only her playing her opponent - then on the flip side you have AJ basically saying he will leave the gameplan all to the coaches - just a chalk and cheese. One is a natural and the other is a robot.
