So unifications and mandatories only, and if it’s a shit mando it shouldn’t take up 6 months… if he does this he could be a massive name going to 135 in 18 months..
Valdez is the biggest name at 130, but being the best at 130 in this landscape is like being the tallest kid in kindergarten. Just isn't a strong division. All the talent is is at 135-147.

I think Valdez-Shakur is happening. I’d take Shakur by UD over Valdez in what should be a really fun fight.

agree on shak beating valdez, but i think shak doing his thing on valdy means shutting him down and not allowing the fight to become too fun

Style and aggression - yes, but it's not punishing enough. Like a sparring session where your holding back thr pop, except he doesn't have any. Once you realise that, his fights just aren't as entertaining as they should be given his skill set and work rate.
He had enough pop to keep Herring from committing to punches, especially his jab.
He was shy in offloading :salut:
Herring's other two losses were by stoppage
So I do get what your saying. And Shakur was laying down a cumulative amount of punches.
They were not. He only had one loss by stoppage prior to Stevenson.

facing a superior boxer will do that, it doesnt take power to drop a guys output. even paulie could shut down guys offense (eg ndou 1 fight, senchenko)

shak's got some light hands for sure, but wonderful boxer
If his hands were that light, why didn't Herring just commit to his own punches? After he got tagged a bit in the first round, he stopped commiting to his jab and his corner was telling him to back Stevenson up, which he was unwilling to do.

that's what happens vs superior boxers, they befuddle, confuse, demoralize, even if they aint got power. been there myself too vs vastly better and more experienced boxer who nonetheless couldnt hurt me with anything

as i said, even paulie m has done it to guys just jabbing (ndou, senchenko to name a couple) and we know he's got pillow hands

it's not really a power thing at all and the idea that a guy would be going all out or just unloading shots if the guy didnt have power is boxing forum fanboi fantasy. that rarely even vs guys who are featherfists
