Why is Canelo getting the opportunities now that I don't Crawford wants to know?
Well let me tell ya.
Back when he was 22 Canelo put himself at a disadvantage in negotiations with Mayweather for the chance to get the shine and the opportunity that comes with such a big fight. He lost, but it bolstered his reputation and starpower, and the opportunities that he's had since he probably owes in large part to that risk he was willing to take back when.
Where's Crawford's risk? Where's Crawford taking the short money or coming in at a catchweight for THE BIG ONE?
That's why he ain't getting them opportunities.
yeah, spot on
could hearn make Crawford v Montana Love ?

Exactly. Floyd did the same when he fought DLH. He made 1/2 what DLH did, and gave in on ring size, gloves, etc.
Crawford should have done this too a few yrs back with Spence. $ Draw matters more than your ranking. He also had Arum problems, but that's his own fault.

Terence Crawford could have engaged in discussions to orchestrate a deal with a new promoter/network whilst his contract with Top Rank was winding down (i.e. during the year between the Brook and Porter bouts).
And he’s been a free agent for three months and there’s still no sign of him finding new handlers and a network to work with.
Fifteen months is quite a long time and it’s clear that he hasn’t got promoters and networks banging at his door clamouring for his signature.
Anyway, the earliest feasible fight-date for him would be the end of May. And by that time he’ll be 34½ years of age, which is pretty old for a welterweight.
Realistically-speaking, we probably won’t see him compete again until at least September, where he’ll be on the cusp of turning 35 years of age.
To be fair, he hasn’t been involved in any wars during his career and has kept himself in decent shape, meaning he should be relatively well preserved, to the point he might even enjoy an Indian summer during the late stages of his career.
But if nobody wants to work with him, because he’s far too expensive, then he’s going to end up becoming inactive and irrelevant.

Phil Jay (World Boxing News) is reporting that Terence Crawford may sign a three-fight deal with the PBC in the next few days or so.
The first bout would be against Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia, with the winner lined-up to face the victor of Spence Jr-Ugas.
I'm assuming that this move only came about through Crawford's willingness to compromise on his traditionally lofty purse demands (as per his previous loss-making deal with Top Rank).
I really do hope this rumour is true, because we may finally end up seeing Crawford engage in marquee welterweight bouts he should have been competing in four years ago.
Assuming this rumour is true, then this begs the obvious question as to whether these opportunities have come too late for Crawford?
I expect him to be the likes of Thurman and Garcia within the next six months or so, but by the time he eventually faces Spence Jr. (sometime next year, I guess… and that’s only IF Errol beats Ugas), then Bud will be approaching 36 years of age.

Thurman, Spence - Ugas winner, Charlo - Castano winner. Those are 3 fights Crawford needs. Otherwise he will retire as one of most wasted potentials in boxing

I think Crawford vs the Spence-Ugas winner will happen next. Ennis deserves the Crawford fight more than Thurman, but he won't get it.
