Somewhere around 50. If you're a fan maybe 30-40. If not maybe 50-60.
Fantastic fighter.
Fantastic fighter.

He always waited until the threat was diffused, or they were weight handicapped. Never entered into a 50/50 fight, and he owes the aura of his 0 to a couple of times the judges favoured him. Very talented, but every bit the modern, conniving, legacy-aware boxer backed by subscription channels invested in him and alphabet bodies letting him do whatever he wants.
Arguably no fighter in history has been more privileged than Floyd Mayweather.
People should look at both how great (or not so great) someone looks on film. They should also consider the wins/good performances against losses/not so impressive ones. You have to take into consideration the stage of the fighter's career and the stage of his opponents career at the time of the fight.
130 was probably his best weight.Wee Tommy wrote: ↑25 Jan 2022, 20:37 The way he destroyed Corrales was incredible. He wisely changed his style as he got older and went up the weights, eventually becoming far more defensive than offensive. The Castillo fight was also a big factor in this. The way he absolutely schooled Canelo was a surprise to me and it’s a big part of why Canelo is so good now.
I’d say 20 - 40 range.
Likely he couldn't because of his hands. In an earlier era without things to mitigate his hand issues he would have suffered more in fights and probably would not have been so successful.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑25 Jan 2022, 12:20 on the eye test, clearly one of the smartest fighters i have ever seen, same with his defence.
however, honestly, if we are talking eye test, I think i have to mark him down a little for a lack of versatility, albeit partially that's just cos nobody ever forced him out of his style.
but can anyone imagine him turning brawler, a l a Leonard vs a banger like Hearns?
on the record it's long and consistent... consistently, uh, 'ok'.
Outside of Vegas I believe the hand injections would have been illegal?Ezzard wrote: ↑26 Jan 2022, 02:33Likely he couldn't because of his hands.
