If both fighters are confident in their ability it makes sence no matter what the fee as it will be a good fight in front of the american sports wrighters and would put the winner in for the WBC manditory.

whats good for the goose.
whats worrying is this was a real test against ndou for witter and a chance for him to impress, now he needs to ko bezan impressivley to make any waves.
Pedersen was actually a career superfeather.!
Bazan is miles better then perderson and better than all of Hattons opponents - maybe Bar Tackie ( Whi is not very good - just tough! ).

I think the reson Witter gets a slightly easyer ride is because untill recently he has at least shown he has the potencial to fight top level opponents esspecially for example fighting Judah in his 18th fight. Also he has had a title in which he dose not choose his opponents. If the Ndou fight has fallen through at the last min getting a top 20 ranked fighter at short notice is still a good opponent and shows ambition. Who do you expect to fight the president of the "who needs him" club at short notice.

Excactly, how many top 20 LW's are going to want to take Witter on at short notice? If I was managing one, I don't think I would advise him to take a fight like this as an understudy to N'dou.

josh,
i dont but to say Bazan is a better light welterweight than any of hattons opponent is just ignorant and biased.
The thing is when pedersen was bought in at last notice plenty on here were calling him a danish pastry or patsy i recall both terms were used, seems theres one rule for one and one for another.
And newsflash hatton is fighting the best out there Kostya, how much ambition would you like to him to have, call out Hopkins perhaps?
Im just pointing out inconsistent and hypocritical points of view tis all.
hopefully ndou will fight anyway then we can see what Junior is made of.

Agreed, there is no way that this guy is better than Hatton's best LW competition. Magee, Tackie, Phillips, Vilches are all arguably better as they are genuine Light Welterweight, same goes for Stewart. Just because someone is a former world champ at a lower weight, doesn't mean they are automatically better.
I think it's a good find for a late sub opponent, bearing in mind N'dou was a late sub himself. However, N'dou would have been a far better test.

erm....James, you do know I only SUGGESTED Bezan right?

I can't believe it if Ndous pulled out - but I think Hennesey will save the day and give him the cotnract he wants - well I hope
If Witter can get a top20 LW on 3days notice it is leagues better than Pederson on what was it 1-2weeks notice? Azumah Nelson is always entertaining and always up for anyone - he should fight him. If Vilches is available it would be a good scalp and Witter would stop Vilches - hence been 1 up on Hatton. Bezans good.

pederson was 3 days notice. I know cos i went.
nobody is arguing that ndou is not a better oppoenent than pederson, for crying out loud he is a better replacement than the guy who was supposed to be fighting, branco.

I dont think so. I really don't recall it like that. He was in fact at least 1-2 weeks notice and WITTER put his name forward instead of Pederson, only to be rebuffed.
At least Witter didn't sign to fight someone like Bezan or Rios or Vilches, it is a LAST call unlike your boy Richard.

All I did was correct you but you obviously don't take correction well.
I am not biased, just realistic. However, it may seem biased, from the perspective of a hatton nutswinger.

Sports Network found out with about 3 days to go that he had not flown. Pedersen came in last minute.

In Lirvas defense, although it was announced 3days before there were serious rumours they knew 7-14days before. This was talked about on the old ESB brit forum and they had some semi-proof I don't remember what though

These are no more than rumours, on the balance of proof, there's nothing to really suggest it was anything more than a very late no-show by Pinto.

Well if it's all wumours then how am I "cobblers" for stating that I thought I remembered it was MORE than 3 days. In fact, I'm SURE he had more than 3 days.
