There is a Japanese fella by the name of Eijiro Murata who challenged Philadelphia's Jeff Chandler for the WBA bantamweight title three times in the early 1980s, holding Chandler to a 15-round draw in the first meeting and losing the next two more emphatically, although they were never easy fights for Chandler.
Murata is worth a mention because he also held Mexico's Lupe Pintor to a 15-round draw for the WBC bantamweight title.

Stalker was usually horrendous to watch but the 3 fights with Evans were pretty good to be fair.

For my money Barrera got robbed in the first fight vs Morales. He went on to win the next two in the trilogy.

Robbed might be a tad harsh on Morales but I thought Mab won. But Fight 2 I thought Morales won.

Hmmm yes maybe. For me no. 1 was close but clear victory for MAB. I agree the second Morales was deserving of a win.

Wasn't Morales jobbed in 2 and 3? I can't recall 3 clearly but I thought he won 2. One of those fights where the controversy of the first fight means the judges arrive with their scores already filled out.

Mitani failed to win any but all 3 were brutal wars (think the first might have been scrubbed off the internet...again... but first two should still be floating around)... not very pretty but all action

still think if ortiz wilder 1 & 2, without all the call it shit sheninagans or plain corruption... ortiz would've beat wilder in both fights.

WITHOUT the doctor intervention out of nowhere and without the insta waive off wiithout any count the ref literally holding wilder down, kneeling over him, blocking ortiz from getting up.

he was far from 'knocked out' in both fights, spastically shoved down by wilder and corruptly & physically denied to continue without any count by the frikkin ref.
