The Makabu fight for Canelo is a joke. It reminds me of SRL fighting Danny LaLonde for another belt to fool casual fans. Hand picking guys for a belt are lame. He has bigger challenges at 175 with the top guys there. Canelo fighting at his walking around weight is something Manny Pac or Floyd has done for years. Dumb fans will eat it up though.

Makabu, Beterbiev, Bivol and Joe Smith jr as wins for Canelo in 2022 would be ATG achievements!
It ain't Canelo's fault that Makabu is the wbc world CW champion or that the top champions from 175 would not fight each other!

makabu and mchunu been doing just as much as most of these lhws and smws who are sitting on their arses/have gone sawft hoping for canelo anyway

While Canelo is applauded and rightly so for his frequent outings.
The fact he is a lottery ticket means the top boxers in and around the weight divisions he goes between just don't want to risk any other risky fights to keep their appeal for selection by Team Canelo. Bit of a sh!t show really!

Indeed its a pity that all these guys are staying safe for the Canelo payday.
