Thanks for saving me typing that out
You missed BORING.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of his fluid movement, full spectrum punch selection, and his accuracy. But spare me days he is boring. It's like someone put Lara on the 'roids as a kid, so he grew big and strong with' nads like raisins, but missed out on all the aggression.
Yes I think he can run circles around Whyte, might even knock him down, Parker and Ruiz might have a better chance with their hand speed but still probably another two boring decisions to Frank.
I hope Frank will raise his offence to the level of his opponent, and as he moves up in competition be more entertaining, but that dream faded a bit more after last night. The way he dealt with Aggiejabbie was sublime and need I say: quite boring
I think he is a championship contender right now, but the way he fights isn't going to get promoters or fans excited about his rise in the HW division unfortunately.
Yeah, he's a no-risk operator. But probably his fight can be exciting against higher level roughhouses, for instance, Joyce.
Hmmm, I think back to the Uysk Joyce fight where Uysk was running rings around Joyce and suggest the same thing Vs Sanchez but with less action
Highlights->
You'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure Usyk had won Olympic gold and Joyce had been boxing for 2 or 3 years when this happened.
Obviously Joyce was going to lose. He'd probably lose again now, but too many people bring up this fight without taking into account the massive gulf in level at the time.
To me, it made me take notice of Joyce: he hung in there and kept coming forward against a brilliant, highly skilled and decorated fighter when he was very, very early on his career. There's no shame in this fight.

usyk vs joyce 2 would go very similar, joe is a serious contender but uzzy's all wrong for him. the elusiveness + fitness of usyk counter act the attritional pressure of joe

Has anybody looked at Frank Sanchez’s face?
Does he look 29 years of age or has he had a tough life?

Agree.
Yes it was a long time ago, but Joe may have got better but he hasn't got faster since then.
My point was Frank would run rings around him, and used the Uysk fight of an example of Joe fighting a faster more mobile opponent

Look Mags I do agree, but Joyce has a sterner mandible than someone like AJ, would back his chin and exchange. Regardless, that is a very green and raw Joyce in that fight, and Usyk aside, you'd be silly to judge him on that. Based on that one sided loss, I've backed the big lump for years. He did well, for his level, losing every round. He showed heart.

He's at least mid 30's.

his paper route started at the bottom of Pico Turquino, went up one side, and down the other, then he had to walk back home.... All that in the blistering Cuban sun.

I'm honestly not that impressed with Sanchez. Ajagba wasn't even betting favourite, and the majority of posters here had him as a hype job and a loss waiting to happen. I want to see a little more before I rate him seriously.

Fair enough
If anyone is pedantic about up and coming prospects - it's me
I do think Frank has a certain something. For a heavyweight, he is mobile, fit, accurate and puts out a diverse range of punches.
It's just how he is happy to cruise a decision and not go for the KO grinds my gears.
I think right now he is tier two in the division - weak as it is.

I'm interested to see Sanchez' next fight. But I'd really like him to fight someone that might ask some questions of him.
One of Yoka, Ortiz, Helenius, Hrgovic, Wallin, Rivas, Pulev, Chisora would be nice. Even Hunter, H. Fury or Dubois.
But the PBC will probably just wheel Dominic Breazeale away from the buffet table again.

He started boxing in 2008, this fight was in 2013, which is around the time that he won bronze at the European Championships. But Usyk had already won both of his world golds by then.

Hughie vs Sanchez ?
God help our eyes - that would be "a great advert for Women's boxing" !

Seriously..,
He's a good contender.
Being boring doesn't mean you're bad - usually the opposite.
Best guess.. - he'll hang around the top 10 for years, but never win the big one. Kinda Pulev level.
Needs to fight a Delboy type gatekeeper next and keep improving...

I take it you have caught up with the fight now Oogs?
I've been on the Frank train for a while, its dull with no scenery to speak of, but I believe it will get close to the ultimate destination - a title fight.

Not on the train yet, but I've seen him before and he's slick, but he's still untested and not nearly exciting enough to look forward to his fights. He vs Mak would be a dull fest.

Vs Hughie Fury for the Nyquil belt. Both trying to beat Christian Hammer for the least punches thrown in a ten round HW fight

frank is good but unfortunetly boring as f#ck
him vs hughie would set a record for most miles run in a fight, it would be a hotly contested battle of who could move away from the other one more
