Hey Anthony Joshua. I bet you're too big and slow to jump off of the Golden Gate Bridge.

After like four rounds, Joshua should've decided that things weren't going too well and that he ought to just try his best to win.

I watched the fight again recently. It really is a top fight unfortunately overshadowed by fury wilder 3. At the end of the fight AJ was in a world of pain. I’ve rarely seen such a reaction from any pro world level boxer. What I’m saying is, AJ gave it his all that night, physically and was seriously hurt, either from fatigue or physical punishment. He was beaten by the better man.

I think his head has really gone, certain he'll lose the rematch and against most top 10 HW's now.

The great thing about AJ is that he doesn't chicken out/duck his dangerous mandatories. AJ could've easy dropped his belt when he had to fight Usyk and say that he's bigger than the belts and that nobody can force him to fight a certain opponent.

Look at AJ resume! Add in his resume Fury and Wilder and AJ is a future top hw HOF'er! :box:

He's saying he fought the wrong gameplan because Fury taunted him about being stiff.

What a weak-minded fool it makes him sound like

I was a fan of Joshua's early doors, but I think the beating he took from Ruiz, robbed him of his self belief - I don't think he's ever going to climb that mountain again.

I wish him well, but I expect he will lose even more convincingly in the rematch, and although Usyk isn't a big hitter, can see a stoppage.
Agree with this.

Joshua needs to stop this now and get back to what he used to do best, although I'm not even sure if that would help him.

Usyk is just better than him, period.

Joshua can adjust his tactics, but Usyk will also adjust accordingly and that's what will be the difference.

Even If he does lose again, he needs to try to impose his physical advantages

Syntax you nailed it. Usyk is just the better skilled smarter better fighter.
I can not see Joshua doing anything to change the results

if josh can hurt usyk early, it could spook usyk and throw his game off for the rest of the fight. josh needs to start assertive (not way over the top aggressive mind you , needs to have some gas left) and aim to do something fairly serious in the first quarter of the fight.

i think thats josh's best chance of a win. but usyk is a consumate pro and is gonna come 100 percent ready, and is just a better boxer, who doesnt have wonky mental issues like josh, so odds in his favour again

Good points.

Joshua's best chance is to try and impose himself, but he has to be careful because he isn't blessed with the greatest stamina, but he absolutely cannot try to beat Usyk by boxing again because he will lose widely.

If AJ pressures Usyk early, he'll either get tagged and out early, or gas out and get stopped mid rounds.

probably, but i dont see a better chance of winning than upping his output and making an impact early that can shift the course of the rest of the fight....kinda like what happened to himself vs ruiz. this isnt a 100-0 percent chance of usyk winning fight, totally locked on, massive mismatch fight - he won 3 or 4 rounds the first time and has big power that's still there.

aj is obviously against it but he's got some chances of winning and needs to do what gives him the best one....even if that puts him at risk of a more conclusive defeat (aka ko) in the end

upping pressure also doesnt mean reckless or totally emptying the tank

Of course not and with AJ just getting tagged once can put him on queer street and his gas tank is half size. That's the point.

to impose his strengths, mainly size/punching power/strength.....he needs to actually apply that though. that has to come through being more offensive, and he caould also try being rough in clinches, leaning more etc. not everything works in perfect correlation.....eg. a guy being more aggressive doesnt always result in an equal disadvantage that evens it all out or works against him. there's some room for him to be more offensive minded while keeping his stamina and defense in check. and even if it does up the risk of him getting ko'd, it gives him a better shot of winning than trying to box with usyk for 12 would.

its still not likely for aj, but its far from an absolutely locked on win for usyk and aj had some moments first fight. i've heard all this he cant win it stuff before, and then a dude goes and wins. in fact just last year it was too small usyk who couldnt win it vs aj according to many. how 1 fight changes all!

if josh is coming to win, and hopefully he is, he's gotta mix it up somehow. his strengths won't come through unless he applies them and that's gotta involve being more offensive minded

AJ fights stiff and upright. He ain't Chisora, Whyte or Andy Ruiz jr to brawl. AJ is gonna get countered in flurries by Usyk. Actually AJ is the most tailor made type of hw for Usyk.

But as I said, big props to AJ for taking risky opponents like Usyk. :TU:

Even then he gets caught too.

I feel Usyk can adjust and make anyone fight his fight.

But what’s AJ got to lose. Another multi million payday.

Tony Atlas said he's a bit too gracious in defeat.

Maybe it's because of the money he's made from boxing.

There's gracious in defeat, then there's AJ's version of gracious in defeat.

two completely different things.
Any Tony Atlas quote wins in my boat. Unreal.

It is clear from the beginning of the fight that AJ is a good boxer but USYK is better. Forget what other people have said, what others are saying and will say. Go back to the drawing with a clear mind. Study your opponent, train and come ready and get the W.
