Has nobody picked up on the fact that he's defending against a 'Jonathan Guidry' on 29th January?
An appalling defence against some tubby club fighter. Isn't it about time we just all totally ignored the WBA, this is a ridiculous match even by their standards.

Covering it on the
Makabu vs. Mschunu thread..
Didn't think the fight deserved it's own thread,
It doesn't!!!

It's not like it's the main event. Makabu is, so we'll keep it all in there.

I'd pay green money to see Bryan get destroyed.

It would be top quality banter should Jonathan Guidry become the heavyweight champion of the world.

I'm actually looking forward to this.
I'm always hoping for the upset.
Hope I can find a free stream because I wouldn't pay for it

Bryan vs Guidry, what a fight. The bad blood rivalry of the two undefeated fighters, which started back in the amateurs and now it continues for the heavyweight championship of the World. It's a story, which even Lewis and Bowe weren't able to fulfill. The history is to be made, are you hyped, my friends?

Guidry has only had 1 fight scheduled for 8 rounds. He has never even been in a scheduled 10 rounder let alone a 12 round fake championship fight.
10 knockouts in 17 fights against limited opposition. Yet the majority of his knock out have come later in his career so he might have learned to punch a bit.
Trevor gasses after the 6th in the few fights I have seen him in.
I am expecting fireworks from both trying to get the other out before either falling over from exhaustion.

I am now!!

Heavyweight Champion of the world you say?
How could I have missed this?
Bryan out cuddled Stiverne who nearly didn't get knocked out by Wilder for a few seconds.
History in the making

Damn, I've never seen a more worthless belt than the WBA heavyweight belt. I wonder how long it's been since a fighter outside the top 250 got a shot at a heavyweight championship.

Where does Trevor Bryan rank on the atg p4p lists of heavyweight champions?
Way I see it he already beat Stiverine. He'd beat the joke Lucas Browne, Francois Botha would fall victim to him as well, Shannon Briggs always found a way to lose, it's really hard to predict how a Charles Martin fight would go, I hate to say it but there would be no underdog in a RJjr 2003vs Trevor 2022 fight.
So there we have it present day Trevor Bryan might have beaten 6 former heavyweight belt holders or more.

Bryan came in at at an all time high. Guidry at a 3 year low

that sounds bad for the heavweight champ of the world, trev bryan, but it's only half a pound heavier than when he ko'd bermane the blob, so i expect another excellent performance vs a tough challenger

Well, maybe just something shiny to mark the vital part he has played over the years testing all those up and comers before they hit the world stage wgen he was never quite there.

Steve Weisfeld, one of the best judges in the sport, surprisingly had it 115-112 for Guidry. His card was overruled by scores of 118-109 and 116-111 for Bryan.
So Bryan is still... Umm... What is it he is again?
