Gwynne UD! 118-110 too wide certainly but I thought he did enough, well done to him.

I thought Willis nicked that 115-113, ,couple of they scores too wide for me but I can see why people would give Gwynne more rounds than I did, Willis was a bit too negative in there at times especially middle rounds, Gwynne struggled to land clean all night but he constantly pressed Willis, I thought Willis started off superbly, really good punch picking, popping out the jab and coming over with the left hand, worked some cracking uppercuts in there as well, his movement and defence were on point for the 12 rounds, he just forgot to throw his hands for spells
Gwynne looked massive and there but it took him a while to make his size and strength count, eventually he started to find the target and come back into it , I thought Willis nicked the last couple to edge the win but no complaints about Gwynne getting it, just think 2 of the cards are harsh

For what it’s worth, totally agree with your assessment of this fight

Nice spot. WBA Champion after 5 fights.jameswilson wrote: ↑15 Apr 2022, 15:38 Just watched the womens fight. That Nina Hughes in her second fight dropped and stopped Bec Connolly like she wasn’t even there. Despite giving up natural weight (Hughes will campaign at 118 going forward.)
Reckon she will soon be snapped up. Really made that look easy whereas a lot of the women we’ve seen fight Bec end up going the distance.
