I don’t think Jack deliberately coasted through the last few rounds I think he was running on empty after dominating the first half of the fight. That said I thought he was still competitive in the last third and definitely won the 11th.
Regardless, he shouldnt need to dominate the whole fight to be given the decision, he just needs to clearly be the better man over the whole piece which he definitely was.

Absolutely. I get so sick of these comments from Flat Earth et al about "championship rounds" and "have to rip the belt from the champion". Those aren't the fornicating rules.

It really should be so simple shouldn’t it?
- Did Catterall get more points that Taylor?
- If yes, he wins!

The WBO will become vacant soon and looking at their rankings I’ll guess Jack’s next fight will be world title fight.
Their number 2 is Liam Paro.
I’d fancy Jack there.
Probably 100k max compared to a couple of million for defending the unified belts.....
exactly those fcukers have done him out of millions and they'll do it again in a few weeks and nothing will be done about it

these late rounds taylor could still barely land a clean shot, it was hardly like he was putting it on cat hard, you could easily give some of these to catt too.
taylor just could not solve cat's defense, the low southpaw crouch totally befuddled him
Exactly,Taylor is the champion yet he got a boxing lesson and dropped in his own back yard, surely this counts for more than "He didn't go and tear the belts from the champion" if someone gets beat they get beat regardless of champion or challenger.
If Taylor won the round, which he clearly did, then it's 9-9
10 point must?
That's before deductions for fouls.
You take that off at the end.

If you win the round but lose a point for a foul it's 10-10

He's coasted in all of his previous fights. It was a terrible habit that he developed there.

Is the 10 point must system just an American thing? I don’t know if I’m honest. I scored the 11th 9-9 as it seems like a more natural thing to do.
My card would change from 114-111 to 115-112.
Doesn’t matter but good to actually know the regulations on this.

You are making me doubt myself now! But I reckon that is the British system, but I suppose that could change for different bodies for world titles.
I would be interested to know what others reckon
