They are not too bad in that respect, when they only showed Hopkins-Hakkar on the morning replay i complained and they immediately refunded the whole price without me even asking for it so might be worth a phone call people

It was quite a good performance. If it hadn't been for the knockdowns though it would have been alot closer.

N'dou is a slow starter and it took him several rounds to get into gear but he came back strong and outworked witter in a few rounds.

I don't think N'dou hits has hard has some have been led to believe, he is very strong and durable though.

Witter took too many shots flush, at one stage N'dou couldn't miss with the right hand and Witter showed poor stamina and looked a bit repetative at times.

It was a great win for him but there is alot of improvements to be made IMO.

Witter was all set to stop Ndou after the 1st and 2nd Knockdown,but the fracture to his left in the 4th stopped him from doing that.I believe it was in Witters game plan to take Ndou out early and looked like doing so,it shows what a great fighter Witter is .He has the ability to change and adapt his game plan throughout the fight.
As for Ingle you forget,it is he who has trained Witter for his whole career and brought him to this point,whatever Ingle was shouting makes no sense to us but obviously it did to Witter.Ali v Forman had various fight scenarios,rope a dope ,goading the opponent etc.Great fights have great moments we all remember,Sugar ray v Duran both fights were fought differently and Sugar ray adapted in the second fight and caused Duran to quit.Ingle produced one of the best and most flambouyant World Champions we have ever had in Hamed.Also Nelson, and now Witter seems to be heading in the same direction.
Who in England can match that,certainly not Billy Graham,Jim McDonald or any other trainer.
Witter went to America and beat the IBF no 4 rated Ndou,Shamba Mitchell is rated 6,Urkal 7 and Corley 9,Witter was rated 11 before beating Ndou.Ndou was also rated no 4 by the WBC.He did it the hard way,without the Hometown advantage Hatton has always had.When Hatton Loses in June Witter will still be the best 140lb fighter we have.
It will be Warren and Hatton chasing Witter for a fight then.
Warren must be kicking himself after putting down Witter for years even as his promoter,Witter has leap frogged over Warren to Hennessy and DLH.
Mc Donald you should sit down and watch all the fights u can of Witter and maybe you will learn something about him.Because at the moment your vision is clouded,Witter will always continue to improve unlike Hatton who has been doing the same thing for the last 3 years.

Maybe Witter will continue to improve, maybe he won't who knows, I would have hoped he would be at or very near his peak physically by now anyhow.

Witter's performance was excellent in parts, and as you say, the hand injury probably played a factor in it. However, if his left hand was so badly affected, how did he manage to land that monstrous left hook in round 10? Surely that would have been absolutely insane of him with an already badly damaged left hand?

As for N'dou, his IBF #4 rating is a little inflated to say the least, when was the last time he actually beat anyone?

However, the converse of this is that Mike Stewart certainly is no better, and is probably worse in fact. Neither man is really of a quality to be any sort of eliminator, but that's the way the game works.

I always said that Witter would beat N'dou, and I thought he had a good chance of stopping him, so quite how my judgement is clouded, I really don't know.

If I am being hypercritical of Witter, well, sadly, that comes with the territory. If a fighter is moving up into the rarified atmosphere of the division's elite, then performances have to be looked at in the light of possible world title challenges.

I have to imagine Witter in those middle rounds had he been facing Cotto, Gatti, Mayweather, and wonder what the probably outcome might have been.

It's also clear that Witter will not be able to bang away with such impugnity against the more technically able fighters who operate at that level, he will get hit hard and often if he does so. That is not to say Witter is incapable of doing so, but he will

I do precisely the same thing with Ricky Hatton's performances too, there's no bias involved here.

My point about Witter is that as he relies on his reflexes as opposed to normal defensive technique (blocking and parrying) he is likely to start losing his reflexes gradually over the next few year. You only have to look at Roy Jones to see what effect that has on a reflex based fighter.

Personally, I would love to see Hatton and Witter fight, but it's unlikely to happen until Hatton has lost in a title bid, and even then only if Witter goes on to win a title.

It's the best performance by Witter to date, and arguably it makes him the best LW in the country, he definetly has the power to hurt anyone in the division, and things are looking good.

I wouldn't read too much into the middle rounds from the fight. I think with more prep time, more time to get over jet lag and to adapt from a freezing cold Sheffield to a Hot, humid California he would be able to work for 3 mins of every round.
I think more than anything going 12 rounds will have blown out a few cobwebs for Junior and he will have learn't a lot from this fight.

Must admit though, the guy who was booing all the time was pissing me off, he should have been thrown in the ring himself. He booed at the Hopkins fight, Taylor fight, Witter fight and the Ikeke fight. If he didn't like the show that much why didn't he just fcuk off?
