Your first statement made me laugh. I think Boots would give Crawford and Spence all they can handle, 50-50 fights. I do see Crawford as the top dog at 147, but we may never know for sure. See how Spence does vs Ugas. Spence has been killing himself to make 147, so think he moves up soon, unless Crawford lowers his demands of a 50-50 purse. Top dog doesn't equal top draw.

Then it's also a moot point if Boots would beat Porter since Porter is unavailable for that fignt. And seeing as I was Not the first to mention Porter here it's unfair to criticize me for chiming in on the matter.

As for the retirement issue. Yeah, you are probably right. A Boots fight wouldn't generate nearly enough to draw Porter back into the ring unless Boots is ready to go home with something like 5% of the purse while leaving the rest out there for Porter.

It wasn't a criticism, I believe in letting people share their opinions.
It was just that Porter retiring made it a moot point. And that is because Shawn is a smart guy, with other options, who made a lot of money and I can't see him blowing it all and ever needing to come back.

Spence doesn't hype other boxers much, but when he says Boots has the size, skills, and dog in him to beat Porter, I believe him.

Says a lot about boxing that we're talking about him being frozen out.

Imagine if Nadal was never able to get a shot at a grand slam, because Federer didn't want to defend his titles against him?!

Why not Boots vs Vergil Ortiz ? It would be a good test for both.

Jaron Ennis has just “unofficially” became a PBC fighter, by proxy of him signing a multi-fight deal with Showtime.

Even though he’s not contractually affiliated with Al Haymon, Jaron Ennis has been competing on PBC shows for quite a while and will inevitably continue doing so for the foreseeable future, especially considering the PBC is Showtime’s exclusive boxing content provider.

The one problem with Ennis’ deal with Showtime, is that he won’t have the freedom to compete on rival networks, since he has signed an exclusive contract with Showtime, rather than the PBC.

This could hinder his participation to engage in marquee bouts if any of his future big-name rivals are from the other side of the proverbial street (i.e. Josh Taylor is with ESPN, Conor Benn is with DAZN etc.).

Technically-speaking, the PBC doesn’t have any “official” say in Jaron Ennis’ career, but it will be almost impossible for Stephen Espinoza’s Showtime to orchestrate bouts without involving Al Haymon and others within the PBC.

Showtime and the PBC have been involved with Jaron Ennis’ last nine fights… and the fighter will continue working with both business entities for the foreseeable future.

Ennis is fighting Clayton in May. He’s announced a new deal with Showtime (still not tied to PBC).

Boots is worth the hype. The question is, how the fornicate do you find boots rounds? Now that porter has retired there isn't a single welterweight outside of craw and Spence I'd back to make it 10 rounds with boots.

Boots has never been past 6, you definately wanna go 10 a couple of times before your in with the currant champs.

Sad thing about the slow undisputed between Spence and craw is that there's a real chance that by the time it happens Spence and craw are actually the 2nd and 3rd best heavyweights in the world.

Who would you pick to try get boots to round 10 outside of the champs?

they should match him vs danny garcia after his next fight..........even with danny being inactive, it's a level of durability and experience he's never fought before

Boots vs Thurman is one that makes sense to me. Thurman needs to earn his way back into the mix of top welters.

If Boots is the real deal then he should be matched vs names like Thurman, Porter or Garcia, to build up his name. If Boots will be matched vs more stiffs then its something wrong with him.

Thurman and other top fighters will not risk a fight against Ennis, until real money will be on the table. Ennis must keep fighting against other prospects to get a resume IMO. Still, hype is real and i will not bet against him even vs Spence or Crawford

Imo, Mikey Garcia should have learned by now he isn't a welterweight. Thurman or Ugas, or another top ranked welter. Boots is young, so he can take over later, but realize, he needs to be tested in a tough fight too, and live up to his hype.

if he cant get any of these fights, his team need to do a better job. making him into a star should be a bigger priority for the pbc brass than pampering guys who've already been through long careers

Porter is retired. Thurman is too chicken. Garcia is moving to 154, so that leaves Ugas. He'll fight.
