That Finn should not have been challenging for the Euro 147 title.

eh, metz isnt too uncommon for a euro title challenger, just with ava being a beast at this level it as a disappointing fight

Yeah Ava is powerful and Conor Benn is going nowhere near HIM anytime soon.

Ava deserves another shot. (Which he'll lose).

Farcical as expected, tbf i quite liked Metz start, didn't mind letting his hands go and was quite tidy, noticed he switched lefty for a few seconds, don't know why, either way as soon as Avanesyan wobbled him then dropped him, no way was he getting off the hook, Avanesyan battered him with both hands, Metz legs were all over the place, not sure why ref gave standing count but still deserved to be stopped

he beat the pole who ko'd robbie davies (who then became euro champ)

this is euro level, not world level. there are challengers like this all the time

Give it 10 years and Benn may accept the fight.

It's a joke honestly. Too busy kidding himself on fighting past it tomato cans. He will wait and wait for another 2 years for an easier route the fan boys will lap it up. Feel bad for avanesyan maybe he should look bad on purpose to get that fight

Shiraz vs Agyarko and Noakes vs Chamberlain would be a great night of Brit Championship Boxing.

No doubt FWank will "let it marinate" for 7 years, then split it into two PPVs if he could...

Just been catching up on this show.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Wembley Arena this empty or quiet.

Metz was massively out his depth - it was, as expected, a really poorly matched fight.

Hopefully the main event is more competitive than it looks on paper - there hasn’t been a really competitive fight on the show yet.

He should forget all about Benn and opy him , build up his profile , its true what Benn says , he's got nothing Benn wants , He should chase the profile and the belts and then Benn has no choice if he wants one ...... Think here lies the difference in the two promoters , Hearn has Benn and Hearn will simmer and simmer Benn making him an even bigger household name until he gets the shot he wants
Warren will keep his fighter under the radar forever and refuse to allow him to go for gold , beacause 1 he don't want to lose him , and 2 he will not pay out the money needed , .

Benn will build his name fighting and knocking out former name opponents , and all the time taking no risk

David will build his name fighting this level and calling out Benn ,, gues who will still have the bigger name in 2 years

I like Jez Smith but for me he shouldn’t be fighting above light-middle, he’s fairly limited and quite easy to hit. I rewatched his fight with Agyarko a while back and he really did a job on him.

Yep - there’s nothing stopping them from making better fights.

Would I rather see Benn vs Avanesyan than Van Heerden? Of course but Team Ava need to get over it and make some competitive fights. Liam Taylor followed by unknown Metz is pretty awful.

Maybe he should fight the guys benn has beat and beat them quicker to prove a point. It's not an obsession. Benn and his team are avoiding him

It’s not an obsession? Every single interview I’ve heard with Neil Marsh or FW when they talk about Avanesyan, they mention Conor Benn. Just like FW did tonight post fight.

Unfortunately Frank his history of frequently mentioning bigger names and then fighting much lower level opposition and he’s doing it here.

For what it’s worth I think Benn would fight him tomorrow and I actually think Benn would win but given the risk/reward of it I think his team are looking elsewhere.
