I actually said at the time, before I even seen the replay, that it was an obvious push.

Fury is a dirty fighter (to his credit, I think every champion needs that in the locker) and he gets away with all sorts of stuff.

I also think it would have been a huge ask for Whyte to recover from that shot, even with the break between rounds. But he has a valid argument, it was a shove, and had he not been shoved he may have been able to clinch or drop forward to his knees. Going flat on his back made it much more difficult for him to beat the count.

So if Whyte hadn't had an illegal move against him, he could've saved himself with an illegal move?

Whyte is lying to himself to stay relevant, maybe Eddie has told him to run damage control?

He doesn’t deserve a rematch in anyway. He was rendered useless. Also with his all his crap non promotion of the fight, nobody is going to want to use him again. It was great seeing him knocked out if I’m honest.

You'd expect the PPV's will end for him now but Chisora has managed to get numerous chances so won't be surprised if Whyte does

Chisora got his PPV's as an opponent, depends whether Whyte wants to be in the winning corner.

I'm reminded of when Steve Cunningham whined and complained saying he would go to the commission to overturn the results, or force a rematch, after Fury put a forearm in his face and then knocked him out.

Whyte was never in the fight. Period. He was catching jabs and punches to the belly the whole time. He got hit so hard a tooth flew out of his head, Fury shoves him, he hits the deck, he gets up but his legs give out on him and the referee made the right call in stopping it.

Even if Whyte was given time to recuperate and go into the 7th round there's no doubt in anybody's mind that he would have gotten his ass knocked out then and there. So what he is complaining about is anyone's guess.

All the talk for years how he easily handled Fury in sparring, etc--- goes to show you one of two things. First, sparring doesn't mean anything. Two, if the only thing giving you confidence going into a fight is how you handled somebody in a training session a decade ago then you had no confidence to really stand on.

Whyte makes himself look increasingly bad. Excuses after being thoroughly beaten. Not attending press conferences. Almost pricing himself out of Fury. Pulling out of a legitimately good fight with Wallin, in circumstances questionable to many. Pricing himself out of a Joshua rematch. Steroid controversy around his career best performance, vs Rivas.

Used to admire Whyte, for his willingness to fa e contenders. But clearly this is a whiner who ultimately won’t take responsibility.

The man had no energy and no ideas vs Fury. And I think he’s burned a lot of bridges in boxing.

I just watched the video there, he was saying he felt he was fighting on even terms, that he caused Fury as much problems as Tyson caused him.

Clinching is also fouling. Whyte had been using forearms, head butting and rabbit punching. The least Fury was allowed to do was to push Whyte away to stop him holding on. Whyte was by far the dirtier fighter in the fight.

No issue with the “push”. It had that effect as Whyte was essentially out when hit.
It’s a fight… all manner of minor stuff go on in these situations.
To get nit-picky over such an irrelevant thing means Whyte was deffo more concussed that it seemed afterwards.

The push didn't make the difference, he was gone from the shot in another angle you can see Whytes eyes glaze from the uppercut.
It's the same as Lewis vs Mike Tyson, the push probably helped them down after the big punch , but the result was only going one way.

Yeh that’s how I saw it. He was out after the punch landed. Then was given a helping hand to fall on the floor. And he fell down rather slow motion.
