For the record i think Frazier/Ali 1 is overrated

It's disrespectful to all 4 fighters to suggest it.
It should stand in it's own right and not be compared to anything, but no it has to be compared to a male fight from 50 years ago - Why? Because it's simplistic to and people will lap it up with out stopping for just a second and think 'hang on a minute'
Sorry ladies you can't escape in your own light just yet, not with headlines like this.

Sorry ladies you can't escape in your own light just yet, not with headlines like this.I was watching on the Sunday morning, my 5 year old daughter watched it with me and was really excited about it, she was totally blown away that “girls can do it too!” (her words). She’d not seen any women’s boxing before which is probably my fault as admittedly I just tend to fast forward most of it as it tends to not be great quality. But really glad we watched that one together, was a fantastic fight.
Although naturally I told her straight afterwards “you’re sticking to ballet classes, it’s a lot safer”![]()

Heck- Josh Taylor Vs Jack Catterall had more drama, was for undisputed and had a dodgy result.
AJ Vs Klitchko had way more drama.
Uysk for undisputed in the final of the WBSS was a better fight.
Nope, its woke pandering, trying to justify what was a pretty lame undisputed fight in a shallow division.
Lol just joshing you. It just sounded like one of those made up tweets you get from people like:Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 14:19Which bit do you find hard to believe happened? Conlan vs Wood
And it’s not just about excitement. It’s about the quality. Mens boxing is leagues above women’s. Womens world boxing is area level AT BEST.
Unfortunately some people are only able to believe conspiracy theories.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 14:19Which bit do you find hard to believe happened? Pretty poor stuff from a bloke who’s supposed to be a serious journalist.
Agreed. Matt Christie used to have SOME integrity. His editorial was cringeTwinkle Toes wrote: ↑06 May 2022, 03:37CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 20:23 “She (Katie Taylor) is quite simply one of the greatest athletes this world has ever seen”

Taylor was falling over her own feet in the last round in an attempt to throw leather and hope it lands. Absolute desperation. Add in the 10 x 2minute rounds.
Come on.
We're getting into the realms of John Fury bollocks here. 'one of the greatest athletes ever seen'
