SC Asians definitely have a "feeding culture".
They prize tubby babies, praise healthy appetites and parties with full doggy-bags to take home. It's not really the food itself, it's the culture of enabling fatness that is the problem.

Amir thinks it is, I kinda agree from the Indian mothers and grannies I know.
It's very similar to Mediterranean culture in that respect. Everything is based around food but having said that, they're sick to tell you if you're fat as an adult and they certainly don't prize that.

Grandaughters , partner is Indian , never really knew many but after meeting his familly i found with them at least eating and partying is definetly definetly high on there list .
At get togethers in this order they enjoy themselves ,,
1-st , drinks and food they just seem to love there drinks and food
2nd , Rock n roll dancing , everyone of them and theres a lot , can jive and thats from the little kids to the grandma's
3 rd Competition ,, they all seem to be in competition on two things ,,, who owns the most taxi's and who can drink the most whisky
They all love the boxing has well Great people to be around when they have a bbq , party whatever very devout catholics has well , which sort of suprised me i thought Indians were Hindu or something
