Yeah - but it’s never really been sold as just British live shows. allegedly would have been terrible value if it was just their U.K. shows but DAZN’s overseas content this year has been great (like allegedly’s was).

But the majority of the target audience are only really interested in the British live shows.

And now they pay £7.99 extra compared to what they used to (because barely any have given up Sky Sports) plus the PPVs will still be PPVs.

And then you get Chisora Vs Pulev 2

Chisora hasn't won a main event for over 8 years. God knows how this got a 5 star rating on boxrec.

From (my admittedly quite vague) memory, Chisora was awful in the first fight?

Who's rumoured for the undercard?
I'm guessing Cash as chief support, Wardley, maybe Lerrone Richards?

Cash will almost certainly be on there. I’d imagine Fisher too but it may come a bit soon for him.

Yeah - I agree that for casuals who’ll only know the main fighters and will just want to watch U.K. shows then it’s not value for money.

Anyone though that spends time posting on a boxing forum is usually into boxing far more than a casual so I’m surprised people on here say it’s poor value. Same when people on here hated on BNation back in the day.

pulev is a washed up bum of a fighter and frankly I am sick of chisora being wheeled out time and again talking shite about war ...
if this was a filler on a decent card ok but not as an actual event .

The barrel is paper thin !

Washed up bum? He clearly beat the same Jerry Forrest a couple of weeks ago who got a draw against Zhang and was unfortunate to only get a draw against Michael Hunter.

For me it's the British shows as I'm too old to stay up all night anymore to watch American fights live and matches like this won't make me pay 8 quid a month. At the moment DAZN are putting on about 1 British show every month so you're paying like a PPV, 1 show only for your cash. At least on SKY with Matchroom you got far more shows and it didn't cost any extra

Fair enough. I also don’t stay up for any of it (unless it’s a monster fight) but whack it on first thing the following day without seeing the results and fast forwarding through the guff. They’ve got a Mexican show this Friday night which I’d be amazed if it doesn’t deliver some really good fights.

It’s a weird one. Despite his age there are a lot of decent heavyweights he would still probably beat.

I dunno what others think but I do think he beats Chisora here.

Main thing I remember from the first fight was the amount of body shots Chisora repeatedly landed on one side of Pulev’s body and the guy didn’t baulk once.

Yeah - I think he probably beats Chisora. It’s a well matched fight at this stage in their careers.

Not in UK. Will be standard sub.

If Parker-Chisora 2 was regular sub then don’t see why not this.

Mind you there was no DAZN PPV then

People mentioning Felix Cash on the bill.

Isn’t he with Queensbury or am I stoopid?

From what I can remember he has been with Matchroom for a while, Frank brought him over to a Queensbury show to fight Denzel Bentley. Last fight with Madiev was on DAZN in February, and he fought Cullen and Welborn on Matchroom cards. Before that, no idea.

You're mixing him up with someone else I'd imagine. Definitely a Matchroom footsoldier.

About time Shannon Courteney made a comeback, that would make a great chief support plus another 10 women's fights would make a great show

I got an email about VIP tickets for this. Reading the copy, they're really going in for the hard sell.

"VIP BLOCK SEATS AVAILABLE FOR CHISORA VS PULEV II : TOTAL CARNAGE ON SATURDAY 9TH JULY 2022 - BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW TO GURANTEE YOURSELF A PLACE!!

Derek Chisora will face Kubrat Pulev in an unexpected heavyweight rematch on July 9. The Brit had been lined up for a bout with Adam Kownacki or Chris Arreola, however these contests did not get over the line and so the surprise second fight with Pulev has been made, which will take place at the O2 Arena in London. The clash with the Bulgarian will come as a shock to many not just because it had not been publicly discussed. It is also a surprise to see this fight again as the pair’s first meeting six years ago was rather underwhelming. On that occasion in May 2016, Chisora travelled to Hamburg, Germany to face Pulev for the vacant European title. In one of his most lacklustre performances, the Brit was well beaten and it was bizarre that one judge scored the fight in his favour.

Now, he will be looking to put this right six years on. When he first fought Chisora, Pulev was on the road back from a defeat to Wladimir Klitschko. He eventually earned a second title shot, but was knocked out again – this time by Anthony Joshua. Chisora now has 12 defeats on his record in total. Since his defeat to Pulev, he has also been beaten by Dillian Whyte (twice), Agit Kabayel, Oleksandr Usyk and Joseph Parker (twice). However, at 38 he insists he has no plans to retire and still often brings entertainment, even in defeat."

Seems whoever wrote that knows they got a turd and isn't even really trying to polish it. That reads to me like, hey we know it's a turd who wants to come and watch the turd? VIP tickets to look at the turd!

I'm alright thanks.
