The Maloney's have certainly paid their dues to boxing, and their small It's ok to hype a fighter but not OK to insult any boxing fan who knows anything about the sport.

hall shows are excellent, despite the lack of TV coverage and attract good crowds.

What exactly have you done for boxing exactly, you seem so ready to criticise everyone in the sport, aside from Jr Witter of course.

The hype should be taken with a pinch of salt, every manager/promoter hypes their fighters up, look at what the Hennessy wrote after Eastman lost by miles to Hopkins, it comes with the territory.

What exactly do you EXPECT them to say about Skelton?

Also said if you have the balls why don't you go to the fight factory and tell him why you think he is a tosser, he's there every day

Or better still he said he would give you a VIP ringside ticket to his show on Saturday so that you can go and tell him to his face why you think he is a tosser rather than be on here and hiding behind a user name.

Frank is a complete joke on boxing boards anyway. Everybody knows that, not just me. As I said before, he couldn't shut up about how Lewis will beat Tyson and then Lewis fires his ass by letter and all he can talk about is how Tyson will beat Lewis. It was hilarious when they showed his face on Sky right after Lewis had given Tyson the hiding we all knew he would give him.

As for Eugene, he's about 60 years old. Why would I want to go there to tell him he is a tosser. What's next from him? "Skelton is the best heavyweight of all time". "Skelton is 30 years old... Oh wait, I forgot his birth cert.

What is he going to do? hit me with his walking stick.

Frank is a promoter so of course he is gonna herald his charge, and Eugene is enthusiastic and they both do a lot for the game. The fight factory cards are nothing short of excellent with no tv backing they sell out the york hall week in week out. Its boxing at this level that feeds the bigger events and keeps the game alive. Its poisonous little fuckers like you that are destroying the game.
Dont undermine their achievements and to lable some one a tosser when you havent even conversed with them is the act of a tosser in my opinion.

I'm hardly one to toe the line, but the fact is the Maloney's deserve respect for the work they do in keeping the small hall shows going and keeping boxing alive at grass roots level.

Nobody here I am sure would put the words, Skelton, Marciano and Liston in the same sentence, without the use of a negative somewhere in there, but that's not the point.

Lirva, you're whole modus operandi appears to be to hate everyone involved in the sport, except for your beloved Jr Witter. Either you are his girlfriend, or you are Jr Witter, because he seems to be the only person you have anything good to say about.

If the Maloney's bring out a press release to hype their fighter, so be it, I don't agree with it, but It doesn't mean I'm going to start flinging around personal insults.

Eugene is geting on a bit - but he can still hold his own from what I have heard..

If Lirva is Junior Witter, I cant see Maloney laying a hand on him. In a ring under Marquis of Queenberry rules anyway. Eugene was rough and tough but never had a great deal of boxing skill in the first place.

He is a better promoter than he ever was a boxer, and is a character the game needs. But mentioning Skelton in the same breath as Liston and Marciano is stretching it a bit.

I met Eugene about 20 years ago and he was a nice bloke then, and I suppose he still is.

Perhaps the Maloneys are nice guys I don't know really as I've never met them but the truth is that Frank does come out with a lot of bull about his fighters... one minute Scott Harrison was the best Feather in the world now he is going to fight the ringworn Brodie!... now we are being told that Skelton has a simular style to Marciano and Liston!!!.... bull! I have seen both Marciano and Liston fight and its like comparing chalk and cheese.... no disrespect to Matt but I doubt he's have got work as a sparring partner for either Marciano or Liston. If the Maloneys are going to come out with crap like this then they should expect to be criticised... so I don't know why they are becoming so sensitive all of a sudden.... as a boxing fan I already have to put up with these crappy 'world titles' being churned out over here etc I'm not going to just stay quiet when the Maloneys are saying that Skelton is the second coming of Sonney Liston!... hype is one thing but treating the boxing public as if they are fools is another and anyone who can compare Skelton to either Marciano or Liston is a fool to be blunt.
