Zhang will be avoided for now unless a champion uses a non mandatory to fight him in china and collect a bunch of money

Hrgovic showed guts
I was too. He had some odd fights that looked scripted. Dude must really hit like a damn truck, though. That power is legit. I'm a believer. He'd be a great match-up for Joshua or Parker.

There is another chinese fighter named zhang who is not a real fighter. Hes a fraud

Look up Zhang/Curtis Lee Tate. It was on ESPN. Made me think Zhang was a joke or something. I think there was one more that looked odd too, but I can't remember it.

This was an entertaining heavyweight bout but I have to say, based on this fight alone, I wouldn't think much of either of them two.

Hrgovic got dropped in rd 1 and it made him really gun shy until round 7

He ate a massive left later in the figbt, props to him because that would have ended a lesser fighter

His conditioning won it for him. Hes a solid fighter who can still improve

The Hrgovic-Zhang bout wasn't a fight between two top-ten world-rated heavyweights.

It was an intriguing bout, whereby the outcome could have gone either way, but I feel that Zhang deserved the win.

I'd like to see an immediate rematch.

I know I'll probably receive a lot of criticism for this remark, but hopefully, Hrgovic realises that he has never been feared nor ducked.

A fighter cannot gain respect from their peers facing cab drivers, janitors and road sweepers.

And I think that was why Hrgovic underperformed tonight, because he's enjoyed an incredibly easy ride for the last four or five years and mentally struggled to overcome adversity.

To be honest, if tonight's iteration of Filip Hrgovic faced the version of Dereck Chisora that faced Joseph Parker during their first bout, I'd reckon Del Boy would destroy the Croatian hype job.

I'm sorry; I appreciate that Hrgovic's supporters will inevitably despise my words, but I'm being honest, and I can't apologise for stating the obvious.

Yeah, I know about Junglong. I wasn't talking about him in this instance, though. He was a funny fighter, though.

Overall, if anything, this fight increased my doubt over Hrgovic while increased my confidence in Zhang. In the short term atleast.

My stream was laggy, but I honestly think he was concussed through the rest of the fight, and I really think it should've been stopped. The doctors there must've sucked because even the bootleg commentary team on my stream saw that he wasn't all there. This is how fighters die in the ring.

Same.

Zhang did really well.

He’ll be in the ‘who needs him’ club.

Not every time but on a chance by chance basis, Zhang can knock any heavyweight out in a 6 round fight. Who's willing to take it? Because I'd watch. Done himself proud considering his gas tank

If Zhang had a good team, they should be going for Big Baby Miller, Chisora, Pulev, or Ajagba to build his name back up quickly. He's old and doesn't have the time other fighters do.

Seeing as how I thought this would've been easy work for Hrgovic, I'm definitely perplexed why Zhang didn't get brought up faster. Feels like he's been around forever and never really fought anyone until now.

Anyone without a solid chin or stamina should be his target and he stands a good chance against them.

The two Chinese Zhangs were making progress at one point, looked ready to step up...and then crickets. They both wasted years doing nothing. Jun Long Zhang eventually retired while Zhelie stagnated. Then the pandemic hit. He really should have moved faster, he was an Olympic silver medalist and could have really made some waves. Now I think it's too late unfortunately.

Robbed on the cards.
Looking at Eyes on the ring.
Vast majority had Zhang winning the fight. I saw only one card that gave Hrgovic 8 rounds (115-112)
Media cards were a mix of Zhang winning and Hrgovic edging it.

The judges?
115-112
115-112
114-113
UD Hrgovic

I had 114-113 Zhang.

The KD made the difference.

Otherwise it’s a draw.

Does anyone seriously believe that Hrgovic would be competitive against the likes of Joyce and Parker?
