Glen Johnson Ltd. is proud to present the boxrec-ratings!!!!

Just read your little angry retort BubiScholz, what's wrong...truth hurt, or are you just too fornicating stupid to know the difference? Wait and see if what I said isn't exactly how the career of Zsolt Erdei comes to pass, just like DM and just like the fighter whose namesake you use, Gustav Scholz, almost identical in how their career has went...a very impressive record due to fighting second, third and fourth rate fighters! Plain and simple, so you can either deal with it, or continue to cry about it, either way, your argument is as much of a joke as you are BubiScholz!

Fact of the matter is Bubi, Erdei has beaten NOBODY. Scrapes by the unsung Garay, and his one creditable win, over Dariusz, was NO MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN TARVER BEATING JONES AND TARVER.
You're living in a little bubble mate, where you think that European fighters who never fight outside their own little world are persecuted and that it's all down to 'American influence.'
I can't wait to Gloat when Sam, Krasniqi, Erdei, and all your other supposed European greats get their asses whacked out, what's your cry going to be then? Perhaps you'll claim that their losses were 'controversial' and 'American influenced' and suddenly you'll be saying their losses don't count.
At least the British posters on this forum are realistic about the limitations of our fighters, we don't bang on endlessly that they are the best and compile utterly farcical top 10's where all our fighters mysteriously appear in them.

why was then Erdei #1 on boxrec for four days? When Erdei fights Johnson we will see who will be the real #1. so of course it is speculation.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Fact of the matter is Bubi, Erdei has beaten NOBODY. Krasniqi, Sam etc. have to prrove if they will be champ or not of course. but Luan has a realistic chance this year. not more not less. Sam and Valuev will eventually get chances, too.

Oscar DLH is better than ANY fighter to come out of Europe in the last decade, like it or not. Jermaine Taylor will probably be running things at middleweight once Hop is gone. Jeff Lacy will probably be running things at SM if he continues to improve, or possibly Green.
LH, who knows, it's all a bit of a lottery, Tarver and Johnson will be gone soon, and there's nobody else who looks to be dominant. So you may be right.
Cruiserweight, again, nobody looks like being dominant. There's nobody out there to really hang your hat on. European fighters have as big a chance as anyone.
Heavy, Vitali will probably rule for another couple of years then retire, but will probably never get the chance to unify the belts by my way of reckoning. This is certainly a division which the Europeans are coming into in a big way.

Yes, but Dave, the difference is, we see it for what it is. Rather than get all excited about Erdei beating Garay in another scrappy fight, which would be about the same level as say Harrison scraping a points win over Brodie.DavidPayne wrote:James what will happen is the next generation of 50-0 will be coming through like Abraham for them to salivate over. Bubi, the reason that Erdei was #1 for a few days, is that this is a STATISTICS based ratings system. One of the unfortunate side effects of statistics based systems, is that it tends to rate unbeaten fighters higher than they deserve.
Ricky Hatton was #1 on the site at LW for ages, was he the best LW in the world, unlikely, but he was unbeaten and active.
Yes Bubi, Sam, Krasniqi and Valuev may all get title shots, but until they actually do get them, and more importantly win them, there is no reason tor rate them as high as you do.
You give Rahman no credit at all, despite the fact he holds a win over Lewis, yet you rate Sam highly over what he MIGHT DO in a title shot he hasn't even had yet.

IMO Sam, Krasniqi and Valuev belong to a top ten like Rahman. everybody has another point to rate them. Rahman was good when he fought Lewis but it´s too long ago for an actual top ten list IMO. his last fights weren´t that impressive. the WBC has another point of view. there he is #1 contender. that´s fornicating boxing. many views many champs. no real #1.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Yes, but Dave, the difference is, we see it for what it is. Sanctioning bodies' rankings are largely meaningless, you only have to look at the fact that they do not rate one another's champions to see that.BubiScholz wrote:IMO Sam, Krasniqi and Valuev belong to a top ten like Rahman. everybody has another point to rate them. BubiScholz offers the same, childish and even racist argument. American's think they are the best, Americans, think this, or that. Whatever num-nuts! I don't mind one bit to give credit to fighters that earn it, and yes even if they are not American born! I'm interested in seeing several overseas fighters, and yes...even some Germans! Athur Abraham and Mikkel Kessler, while I have never seen either, I have read quite a bit about both fighters.
I think Kessler could be one of the best at 168, but he will have to fight Lacy, Calzaghe and Green to prove it!
At 175, Erdei only has one name that is quality, Julio C. Gonzalez. Glenn Johnson has a career record that is loaded with quality fighters and the only defeat that there was no doubt about was the Hopkins loss, all the others could have went one way, or the other and were all very close bouts, I know I've seen most of them, which bubischolz I doubt that you can say! Tarver I think is, or was overrated, but he is still one of the best punchers at that division, but he doesn't fight often enough and at his age, time is running out! Paul Briggs seems to be a pretty solid fighter, but I haven't seen him fight yet! Tiozzo is a solid pro, but like Tarver, age is against him, so time is running out. Glen Johnson has earned the top spot at 175, sorry bubi, your man Erdei hasn't proved dick yet!
Crusierweight has a couple of young guys, but due to advancing age with most of the top contenders, Braithwaite looks to be top dog!
Heavyweight, Klaus-Peter Kohl will continue to build up several heavyweights with undefeated records while facing very limited and non-threatening opponents until one of them lands a lucky punch! None of his heavyweights have any real shot at being heavyweight champion, even in the weak state that the heavy division is in! Right now there is no heavyweight champion! Chris Byrd has the best claim for the title because of his victory over Vitali, but I don't thinhk he can win a rematch. As for the future of the heavyweights...I don't know, it's pretty pathetic looking unless someone just comes from out of nowhere, but the chances in that are about the same as winning the lottery!

You should separate Kohls and Sauerlands fighters if you talk about heavy. and i´m sure you didn´t watch them fight. i watched all top 30 heavies of the last three years. i don´t see an american talent. or was Nobles one?

This isn't just about German fighters anyway Bubi, it's about the continental European scene vs America, at least that's the way you portray it.

Ooops, I messed up on Kessler's residence, big deal little boy! You are such a clueless idiot who knows little to nothing about the sport of boxing! Not only do I know where Copenhagen is, but unlike you I can spell correctly it as well! I think I point out in my mposts about the fighters that I ahven't watched and those that I have, but the way you try to get your opinion across, it doesn't matter if you saw every single fight 100 times a piece, you're still going to come off as an uneducated, unknowing moron! Whats the problem, were you given a lobotomy at some point in your life, or what, incest, or is there a stupidity gene that runs rampant in your family tree?

it´s your problem when your cousin is also your mother. don´t mix it. In Europe we are cultivated. watch your de la Tortilla-Kournikova-Video-Collection and just shut up when the grown-ups talk.barry wrote:>>>>>You even don´t know where Kopenhagen is<<<<<

Actually both of you are wrong and right about the spelling of the capital of Denmark. Is Kopenhagen is german, Copenhagen in english, but the correct danish spelling is "København", and know I will get out of the discussion.barry wrote:>>>>>You even don´t know where Kopenhagen is<<<<<

Bubi, I think it's fair to say that your opinions on boxing are less than 'cultured.' They extend as far as the borders of the European boxing scene and no farther, and anyone from outside those borders has to go a country mile to get any respect from you.
Your views on Glen Johnson prove this perfectly, even though it's common knowledge that most of the losses on his ledger are highly contentious, you refuse to take that into account, because it suits your arguement that Erdei is the #1, based on nothing more than he is from within the boundaries of your acceptance.
If Erdei was American, you'd be crowing about how he's nothing more than an overrated also-ran.

easy geezer Bubster is alright, your taking him far too seriously if you had been around recently you would know that the Heavyweight thing is a bit of a joke meant to provoke reactions he posts it once every few months. And it works.

James, i would agree o the sentence: "there is no real #1 at the moment" and that has nothing to do with the titles. Oh my god!!!!!!!
I read an interview of DM that he wants to fight RJJ or retire if the fight wouldn´t happen. i hope they both retire finally. this fight should have happened in the 90´s. it´s too late. i also watched an interview with DM yesterday on TV where you could hear "between the lines" that he doesn´t want to retire. sad
