Fact of the matter is Bubi, Erdei has beaten NOBODY. Scrapes by the unsung Garay, and his one creditable win, over Dariusz, was NO MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN TARVER BEATING JONES AND TARVER.

why was then Erdei #1 on boxrec for four days? When Erdei fights Johnson we will see who will be the real #1. so of course it is speculation.

Krasniqi, Sam etc. have to prrove if they will be champ or not of course. but Luan has a realistic chance this year. not more not less. Sam and Valuev will eventually get chances, too.

James what will happen is the next generation of 50-0 will be coming through like Abraham for them to salivate over. However, I do wonder whether we mock Bubi because there is so many symmetries with our own boxing scene.

Oscar DLH is better than ANY fighter to come out of Europe in the last decade, like it or not. Only Lennox comes close.

Jermaine Taylor will probably be running things at middleweight once Hop is gone. Jeff Lacy will probably be running things at SM if he continues to improve, or possibly Green.

LH, who knows, it's all a bit of a lottery, Tarver and Johnson will be gone soon, and there's nobody else who looks to be dominant. So you may be right.

Cruiserweight, again, nobody looks like being dominant. There's nobody out there to really hang your hat on. European fighters have as big a chance as anyone.

Heavy, Vitali will probably rule for another couple of years then retire, but will probably never get the chance to unify the belts by my way of reckoning. This is certainly a division which the Europeans are coming into in a big way.

Yes, but Dave, the difference is, we see it for what it is. Rather than get all excited about Erdei beating Garay in another scrappy fight, which would be about the same level as say Harrison scraping a points win over Brodie.

IMO Sam, Krasniqi and Valuev belong to a top ten like Rahman. everybody has another point to rate them. Rahman was good when he fought Lewis but it´s too long ago for an actual top ten list IMO. his last fights weren´t that impressive. the WBC has another point of view. there he is #1 contender. that´s fornicating boxing. many views many champs. no real #1.

Erdei is severley overated by BUBI , soon Paul Briggs will be the man at 175 and Erdei will still be racking up Sven Ottke style robberies.

Tarver I think is, or was overrated, but he is still one of the best punchers at that division, but he doesn't fight often enough and at his age, time is running out! Paul Briggs seems to be a pretty solid fighter, but I haven't seen him fight yet! Tiozzo is a solid pro, but like Tarver, age is against him, so time is running out. Glen Johnson has earned the top spot at 175, sorry bubi, your man Erdei hasn't proved dick yet!

Crusierweight has a couple of young guys, but due to advancing age with most of the top contenders, Braithwaite looks to be top dog!

Heavyweight, Klaus-Peter Kohl will continue to build up several heavyweights with undefeated records while facing very limited and non-threatening opponents until one of them lands a lucky punch! None of his heavyweights have any real shot at being heavyweight champion, even in the weak state that the heavy division is in! Right now there is no heavyweight champion! Chris Byrd has the best claim for the title because of his victory over Vitali, but I don't thinhk he can win a rematch. As for the future of the heavyweights...I don't know, it's pretty pathetic looking unless someone just comes from out of nowhere, but the chances in that are about the same as winning the lottery!

James, i would agree o the sentence: "there is no real #1 at the moment" and that has nothing to do with the titles. Erdei and Johnson have to fight for the real #1.

I read an interview of DM that he wants to fight RJJ or retire if the fight wouldn´t happen. i hope they both retire finally. this fight should have happened in the 90´s. it´s too late. i also watched an interview with DM yesterday on TV where you could hear "between the lines" that he doesn´t want to retire. sad
