Was anyone really dying for Spence/Crawford? It'll do like 100K buys (without PBC meddling). Both these guys would be lower top 10 guys in a stronger era. This one will probably do 25K.

What the fuk. this clashes with a decent Teo lopez toprank card. how is craw going to drum up hype for this PPV against ESPN... Geezes its like they want to fail. Also clashes with a UFC PPV (although not a particularly strong one for the USA market).

Just saw the streaming service. Saw the buzz word, inclusive. These terribly managed and terribly stupid businesses are getting ridiculous stacks of money from woke, activist investors.

I'd imagine this is another fly by night streaming service that will fail at some point. They're desperate for live sports content, though. They're going to take a huge loss here, but i don't think they care.

Terence Crawford should understand people are not that drawn to him except for us hardcore fans and be humble. Mis-managed? Yes, but also surly as heck.

I don’t really care how many buys it does.

I just want to see them fight.

This bout is Lame.

I can hear it now in my head...

And...Just...Like...That !!!

2nd round, maybe the third.

Lame Bum Bout. :-?

At least with Fury-Chisora, the fans will get an Actual Fight, for at least a Good 5 rounds, or more, all depending.

Exactly!

Shawn Porter wanted to fight Crawford and it got done, despite them being with rival networks.

Fights get made if the main protagonists really want it to happen.

Crawford HAD to have been negotiating for this fight for months, like Spence said the nigga been stalling for months.

It takes at least 2 months to do a contract, get the venue, etc etc.

Spence won't trust him in the future. The bridge has been burnt, the fight is done, imo. Time to move on.

Just because your scheduling another fight as back up doesn’t mean you stalling. Maybe he knew PBC would drag their feet.

No one really knows what went down in the negotiatings.

It’s called staying active. He hasn’t fought for 12 months already and they already stalled the fight date and said they were looking at Feb 23.

What a pity, what a fucken waste of talent. Crawford is a boxing guru, who could have been the new Sugar Ray Leonard, but again it's a mismatch.

Ava has a punchers chance.
No more, no less.
And yes, at 34 Crawford has frittered away his prime. It's sad and disappointing that his choices of promotors and his greed have derailed what could have been an HOF shoe-in career :verysad:

Yeah, he had chances to become a legend, but he'll be remembered only by boxing nerds.

Avanesyan has earned this chance.
He has done everything asked of him, and been very patient.
With no unification now it is buisnes as usual and it is Ava's turn.
As for Chisora, well they are mates and it's an easy earn for both of them at the expense of the fans.

“I mean look, sooner or later Crawford has to fight,” said Hearn to Fight Hub TV. “He's been out for a long time. It’s obviously disappointing for boxing. Crawford vs. Avanesyan is a fight that no one wants to see.”

“Sometimes, the fighter's expectancy of how much money they should make in a fight isn't real life. The problem with Spence vs. Crawford is, to us, to people in boxing, it’s a massive fight. But to the general world, it’s not as big as you think it is. So, therefore, the money these guys want is not necessarily achievable.”

Only because he doesn't promote them..

Given the chance, he'd sell himself to promote the fight.

Bud also KO'd him as well..

Ava vs. Kava was Feb 2018 - he has beaten Kerman Lejarraga x2, Jose Del Rio, Josh Kelly, Liam Taylor and Oskari Metz.. all EBU title defences.. He was linked to fight Ortiz wasn't he? Ortiz has done more since then as well, but it's a voluntary defence, just like Fury-Chisora..

Ortiz is one of them unlucky ones where he won't be picked as a voluntary, unless it's very lucrative..
