That kind of shocked me. I thought Kabayel would of been much higher
Does inactivity come into play with Boxrec's new system? Kabayel is so inactive i'm surprised he's still ranked.

The fight for the vacant EBU heavyweight title between heavyweights Agit Kabayel and Agron Smakici will now go ahead March 4 but the site remains Bochum (Germany).

SES had first planned to do the fight on January 28. More to come!

If I was guaranteed that Smakici would KO Agit, I'd pay to see it.

Kabayel got dropped in the second before winning by TKO in round 3. Looked like zero defence from either of them in the clip I just saw, not a whole lot of skill shown either.

Kabayel got a TKO eh?

No need to make a new BoxRec Top 15 thread for Gassiev and Kabayel is there?

Gassiev would be more likely but I don't think anyone would vote him in. Probably worth saving yourself the time. If Balogun or Smakici won, then they'd probably be in with a chance...

i still think agit's a good fighter, but his career has been a joke

he beats chizzy in his best win 6 years ago, at only 24 or so years old, yet since that point has engaged in nothing but meaningless fights and gone backwards. remember he signed with top rank too, and yet still has done nothing but fight sh!thouse fights like this. really weird

Agreed. We'll never know if he could've been a decent contender at this point. Wasted career.

They were both shattered after round 2.

Ref shouldn’t have let it continue, he didn’t even look at Argon properly and just said continue.

Hopefully Smakici gets selected as an opponent for others now. It was all or nothing for him, exciting to see the B side legitimately try and win.

Kabayel looked exhausted, small and had no defence. He's gone from beating Chisora 6 years ago to being cannon-fodder for the first decent opponent that comes his way.

Hopefully his next opponent is a mandatory against Kossobutskiy, Wardley, Yoka or Romanov.

Kabayel is clearly regressing. When you fight only cans and do it once a year, don't be surprised with being wobbled like that by another noname.

Anyone think Chis should get a rematch and potentially retire after? Agit looked beatable

Maybe Kabayel will be able to prepare better for a more serious challenge. Ironically, it's Kabayel, who needs this bout more. Chisora is marketable and he's always in the mix against top fighters. Kabayel's opposition has been awful for years.
