vick hurts pero at the end of the third, which was otherwise a fairly bland round

vik's shots doing more damage, pero getting stung

more of same, pero tentative, vik mostly one -twoing, even though his biggest shot of the fight was a left hook. vik defo with advantage

pero fighting like a journeyman there to go rounds , though he does land a good low blow

wow! pero stops him with a flurry in the 8th! body shot seemed to do the biggest damage

very few clean punches landed, even though they each have quick hands. both guys with very good head movement, but foster seems to be just a bit sharper in most rounds. he should be ahead going into the 6th

more of the same, foster edging most of the rounds to build what should be a lead. it's all competitive but rinse and repeat, so foster could end up winning wide

Feels like this fight is over. it will be same pattern Foster will win wide. Vargas will feel cheated. but both have missed a lot.

my take on foster............excellent defense, very quick hands, a bit too rigidly focused on boxing and countering at times where he'd benefit from being more aggressive. i dont know what happened in his previous losses,, but on recent form i struggle to see anyone but an elite fighter beating him

I felt like 117-111 for Foster sounded about right. Not the most exciting fight, but a very sharp performance from Foster who really had his defensive game on for this bout.

He definitely was the clear winner.

Good heavyweight scrap to start the card tonight.
