I don’t think things ended too well between Callum and Eddie - particularly with all of the stuff around Joe Gallagher.

I thought when Callum was with Frank initially he was promoted poorly. Eddie got him some meaningful fights when he was Matchroom and obviously his first world title shot.

He goes to Frank, has a couple of average fights and Frank did well to get him the world title fight against Smith.

His lack of activity was always an issue. The blame for this would usually be placed with the promoters but his pull outs this year showed otherwise. Perhaps it was Callum’s indiscipline the whole time.

It’s a shame we never got to see the likes of Buatsi, Yarde, and Richards against Johnson. They would have been exciting fights.

So true, there's probably never been a better time to be a light heavy in the UK. Must be hard to even get out of your front door without being offered a meaningful fight. Always been a big fan of Johnson and he'll be a long time retired - it's now or never and a shame he's chosen never. Doesnt sound as though he's financially set either which makes it even stranger.

A truely weird career, in his only loss he gave one of the best in the world his toughest test. But then arguably lost to a bangaverage guy in his latest outing I guess.

There are boxers who will literally just start the gym when a fight is announced, 6-8 weeks training camp enough?

If you're in the gym all the time and on weight, then you can take a fight anytime. Like you said.
