He has ruined boxing broadcasts for decades. He deserves no goodwill or respect. If he had any respect for fans he wouldn't have ruined those events putting himself as lead commentator. F*ck him!!!!

He seems like a decent guy and certainly wish him no ill-will. But his commentary is shit.

I always quite liked Adam Smith.

I didn’t think he was a particularly good commentator but there were a lot worse (Big Ron and others).

He seemed like he wanted the best for the sport. He was at press conferences for non-Sky shows and reporting on them which is a credit to him.

When he took over Sky Boxing it was predominantly leisure centre stuff. He oversaw a period where they had the biggest stadium shows ever and biggest PPV shows ever. The fighters obviously key but so we’re Eddie and Sky with Adam pushing for it.

Some seem to reminisce about Sky thinking about just the good fights from the mid/late-2000s and think having several fighters on the same network with different promoters would lead to loads of amazing fights.. In reality the bulk of shows were poor (commonwealth title fight as the main with mismatches on the undercard were fairly common).

I think what people don't like about him, going by comments in RBR threads, is that he is more reflective of his loyalties/preferences than what is actually happening in the ring.
I would not describe it as impartial commentary.
