A lot of the talk was from the biased SKY commentators and Chisora's friends. The punch stats say Usyk landed more in 9 rounds, 1 tied and 2 rounds to Chisora. I wonder why that is? Hmmmmm.

Now, now... you know as well as I do that punch stats don't tell the whole story of a match.

Furthermore, I'm not altogether convinced those mechanisms/algorithms really determine output correctly. You could throw the lightest hook ever thrown and they would still claim it as a power shot. If I'm not mistaken in the fine print it always says there is a margin of error anyways.

Lastly I figure if a man is still landing punches on the arms and the shoulders of an opponent that he still being an effective aggressor even if he isn't landing on the body or the head and those punch algorithms only recognize punches to the body or the head.

If you don't agree punching on the arms or shoulders isn't effective I would tell that to somebody like Rocky Marciano who made it his mission to break down people's arms and shoulders so they couldn't throw effective punches.

It's not effective point scoring though. Clean punches landed is what wins a round.
If fighter A is backing up fighter B to the ropes but only landing punches on the arms or gloves, yet fighter B is countering with clean landed punches, fighter B still wins the round.

one of the most misremembered fights in a decade. Usyk barely had to brake a sweat beyond the halfway point, and on any sane card was up on points at halfway. like you say Derek won maybe 2 or 3 rounds clear.

and nobody in their right mind watched Chisora and thought it meant Joshua would therefore do very well against Usyk, because Chisora is a pressure fighter, and Joshua is shite at trying to do that (of course, he didn't even try in the first fight) and joshua wouldn't know a Marciano crouch and a bob-weave if you spent all week showing him. Chisora was never and would never be an indication fo how AJ would do against Usyk.
