BEYER and the WBC have avoided this re-match for over a year.
Green had the right to fight for the title since December 2003. but Beyer has faced at least 4 other opponents in that time. Shouldn't the interim champ get the first shot once the champ is ready ?
anyway, Green will come out bombing, a lot more than in the first fight. Green doesn't want this to go the distance. If he gets scared, thinking about his fight with Sean Sullivan and how he almost died, well then he might just lose. Beyer is weak early in fights, and Green should not let him off the hook. The judges suck, so don't let them get involved.
go green machine

I think Markus wins KO 6 or 7.
according to the rules, you can't bring in a base ball bat. but the WBC do have other stupid rules

as you can see, i´m not the only one who gives Markus a KO chance. just wait and see.

lets have a location bet if green wins i can decide your lacation for a week if beyer wins somehow you decide mine
deal

I saw Beyer fighting a couple of months ago on Eurosport against a limited Japanese fighter, but I was surprised how good Beyer's defense looked, I think that Green is going to struggle to hit him if he is on form, so I am going for a Beyer win by points or late stoppage.

Should be a very good fight - looking at the that clip Beyer appears to hurt Green with a right hand, or at least gets his attention big time. On paper, Beyer seems a very live underdog.

Blimey those are rather lively odds. I make Green favourite, but not by very much....those odds are mental! Draw is worth a little punt too...

Ref is Laurence Cole. Judges is Hongkontam (spell) from Thailand and Marty Denkin 3rd judge not appointed last time I checked.
The Green camp wanted the ref and the 3 judges to be from the US and none of them to be BIll Clancy.

Wasn't Bill Clancy fairly experienced? I got the impression he was just bullied into giving that ruling by the numbers of people surrounding him.
Surely they cannot do a stitch job again?
Is this fight being shown delayed anywhere?

clancy did what he thought was right
the rules are not that clear
cole sucks. he will let the headbutting, low blows, and rabbit punches go on as long as it doesn't mess his hair.

Clancy had no idea and let Beyers manager and promoter decide for him.

I must admit I thought Green would win in 4-5 rounds. At the last minute I had a small bet on Beyer...11/4 at William Hills. Should have looked at Bet 365 but didn't think. Beyer doesn't stop many so a win on point was probably always going to be his most likely way of winning.

Everybody on Saturday could see that Green isn´t the man in this division because he is just limited and hasn´t this boxing background and skill to change his tactic.....
On the other hand Beyer proved that he has improved and is one of the best in the division. he should unify the titles now.

I don't know, Beyer was awful against Andre Thysse, someone easy to look good against. I haven't watched the green fight yet, but I can't help but feel like beyer only had one good performance left in him, and by the sound of things this was it.
I think Lacy would outwork him. There is a slim chance the fight could be made, Lacy said he is willing to travel, lets get it on. Not that it would be a great fight, but it would be a step forward for the division.
