Gets stick because he proclaimed himself as a world champ in waiting, great for getting his name out there but his level is domestic championship standard, still it's a high level and is always in good fights, obviously a good amateur career too

Nice to see a boxer be succesful in other areas , not a lot do it really when you think about it other 10 -12 year olds are studying maths , ect , boxers , footballers ect are day dreaming about being world champs and winning fa cups

I don't know about the man, just the boxer, and will miss him if he chooses not to box again. I wouldn't call myself a fan per say, but I've seen his last 12 or so pro fights and been entertained
He could be a good challenge for up and coming guys, probably could win the British if the stars were aligned.
If he is doing well outside of boxing, good on him.

We used to use stone as a measurement in the mid 70's before going completely metric.
Anyone under about 55 is going to go glassy eyed at pounds outside of the UK and USA, mostly the USA.

Olympic boxer Anthony Fowler breaks advertising rules for THIRD time in just two years – over claims patients should use his Supreme CBD products instead of antidepressants

The cannabis oil company run by former Olympic boxer Anthony Fowler and backed by a string of ex-footballers has broken advertising rules for the third time in two years, by suggesting that clinically diagnosed mental health patients come off anti-depressants and use products like his instead.

The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) ruled on Wednesday that Fowler’s Supreme CBD firm - whose ‘influencers’ were criticised for name-checking its products in tweets about Ricky Hatton’s death last month - had actively discouraged people with mental illness from seeking essential treatment for those conditions.

All Britain’s leading mental health charities, including MIND, Rethink Mental Health and SANE, advise against using CBD oil as an alternative to medically prescribed antidepressants. But Fowler’s Supreme CBD firm used the case of a follower who had been on anti-depressants for 19 years to suggest that their oils are preferable.

One contributor to the advert said of antidepressants: ‘They numb your emotions, so you feel not happy, not sad. None of it delivers it. I wouldn’t recommend antidepressants at all. I’d recommend you to come off them and I’d recommend CBD.’

The ASA reminded Fowler that companies should not discourage essential treatment for conditions for which medical supervision should be sought – or claim products can ‘prevent, treat or cure’ disease and illness.

This follows ASA rulings which censured Fowler and ‘ambassadors’ Matt Le Tissier and John Hartson for precisely the same conduct, last year. One of the ads which breached ASA rules last year also claimed that Fowler’s products could treat or cure anxiety and depression, as well as insomnia.
