It means they’ll be able to keep the bulk of the tickets sold initially and hopefully build on it.

If they’d kept it on at the O2 then they’d probably need to find a way to compensate people for keeping their tickets without the main event, they’d have many people want refunds and would then need to sell tickets again to Buatsi/Azeez.

Whilst they can get York Hall pretty busy with just friends and family of all of the fighters.

They’d have lost the deposit on the O2 for Saturday though but this must be a better way financially to do it.

These things happen.

The issue he’s got is that it stands out more as they haven’t put on many cards or many good fights on regular Sky Sports this year.

He deserves credit for keeping the show on but the reality is that between July 2nd and November 17th, Sky Sports would have shown 2 U.K. events and both are at York Hall.

They need a big end to the year.

Shalom claims it had done 10,000. Complete bullshit from looking at the ticket maps. As of a few weeks ago it had probably done 3,000.

Given all the other sport on Saturday night they’d struggle to give them away.

Boxxer has revealed that the showdown between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez will be rescheduled to a new date at The O2 in London.

The bout between the #1 and #2 ranked light heavyweights, under the WBA, had been due to take place this Saturday but is now being postponed due to an injury suffered by Azeez in his final training session.

A date for the rescheduled world title final eliminator will be announced shortly. All tickets for this Saturday’s event at The O2 will remain valid for the new date.

This Saturday’s remaining undercard will now relocate to York Hall in London, headlined by Mikael Lawal defending his British Cruiserweight Championship against bitter rival Isaac Chamberlain.

The Commonwealth Super Welterweight Championship is also on the line when Louis Greene defends his title against Sam Gilley in another 50/50 domestic clash which will also send the winner forward for a shot at the British title.

The card will also feature Olympic bronze medallist Karriss Artingstall against former world title challenger ‘Vicious’ Vanessa Bradford as she takes an important step in her professional career, and top young prospect Michael Hennessy Jr taking on fan favorite Joe Laws in what will be a very entertaining fight.

“We’re still bitterly disappointed about having to postpone the main event due to the injury sustained by Dan Azeez,” said BOXXER founder and CEO Ben Shalom. “It’s clear from the widespread upset and frustration, just how big of a fight this is. We’ve spoken to both teams and everyone is committed to rescheduling the world title final eliminator. We’re working on announcing a new date at The O2 as soon as possible.

“For the remaining fights, the easiest option would have been to cancel the whole card, but that wouldn’t have been fair to the fighters or to the fans hoping to see them. I’m extremely proud of our team’s hard work in ensuring these fights get to go ahead. Not only can we look forward to a rescheduled Joshua Buatsi vs Dan Azeez at the O2 in the near future, but also four incredible fights live on Sky Sports on Saturday night in what will be a hugely atmospheric York Hall.”

Fair play to Boxxer for keeping the rest of the bill going - great for the undercard fighters, and the two main fights are decent

Gutter there's no getting away from it but fair play for making the right call and keeping the show on, 2 solid title fights on the card which Im looking forward to

Boxxer need to do better here because they might gain financially in the short term but they could do their reputation some damage if too many disgruntled people are out there.

I’ve seen a few people kicking off over not being able to get a refund yet. If the replacement date was imminent (I.E. an announcement certain before the event was due to take place) then I’d get it but the reality is that they probably need to take a week or so to see how Azeez is so it’s not acceptable.

good to see they've made the right decision, albeit belatedly and likely due to poor press on it.

Chamberlain is selling the fight well, he is excellent at annoying the opponent....and also digging Ben which is amusing. I don't think he'll be with Sky long, he's hopped about a lot. Saying he's getting twice what Lawal is. Anyone an idea what they will be getting?

I did feel a bit sorry for Ben. he's having a 'mare, at those times you must want to say "stuff this" and leg it. It does make me admire Hearn a bit as he manages to stay looking relaxed even when he's getting mullered.

This is a good card tbf, good main event and looking forward to seeing Greene again, was there when he stopped Kean last time out, he was impressive, Gilley landed one of the best bodyshots I've ever seen in my life no lie, can't remember what card it was on

boxxer need to sign some more fighters how much were tickets for this show?

8 rounds of boredom to start the show, at least I can watch the end of the football and not miss anything. I really wonder what attraction Artingsall is on any card ? Same with Price and other Olympians they signed.

Price cause she won the gold and sky love woman's boxing. Price and girlfriend are dire to watch. Artingsall fight was a worse fight to watch at the Bournemouth stadium than the CBS - Okoile fight.
