Re: Who will Tyson Fury fight next?

Fury is a piece of shit, and I'll never watch him again.
Fury said publicly he will NEVER fight Usyk. So I left Usyk out of the poll.Lackeos wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 19:49 This poll has got a lot of completely stupid options. Although some of them aren't totally insane, like Joyce, Ruiz, Ngannou, and Joshua. But the other half are just completely stupid. And lack of Usyk is weird. Pretty sure he's more likely to fight Usyk next than John McDermott.
That certainly has become apparent although if that's the case and everybody involved knew it why the hell did Warren keep going on about having booked Wembley for the 29th of April?KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 18:22But Henry, Fury isn't ready for April 29th. His trainer was never booked, he hasn't arranged a camp, he certainly hasn't been taking life in moderation like you would expect from a top athlete.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 22:56 I'm really hoping the WBC will not force a 4th fight with Wilder and instead go to the #2 ranked Andy Ruiz. He basically told Fury he's ready for the 29th of April, so I don't see where the issue would possibly be.
From here on out Tyson Fury has to fight solid names in order to rebuild his damaged reputation. Ruiz for April or May at the latest, then Joshua in July or August. That's what he should be aiming for.
Just come to the realisation that the Uysk fight was never going to happen on that date, and if he actually does fight someone on the 29th it will be a guy so soft he doesn't have to seriously train for.
Maybe Warren didn't know at first, maybe he never booked Wembley.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 22:14That certainly has become apparent although if that's the case and everybody involved knew it why the hell did Warren keep going on about having booked Wembley for the 29th of April?KiwiRider wrote: ↑26 Mar 2023, 18:22But Henry, Fury isn't ready for April 29th. Let's not get carried away with Wallin's performance. He put up a decent effort but he won 2 maybe 3 rounds.Bandog wrote: ↑27 Mar 2023, 19:07 Fury has plenty of excuses, but none if them fool smart folks. He knows he would get outboxed, and embarrassed by Usyk.
Wilder has a punch that could end anyone's night, but his skills are lacking.
Usyk would attack Fury's body, stay out of harms way, and win easily. Usyk has footwork similar to Loma. Bad for the lumbering Fury. Wallin, also a southpaw, gave Fury all he wanted.
over rated performance
Anyone else and that fight is stopped. But that would have required a rematch.
Someone unranked or old.Perkin Warbeck wrote: ↑23 Mar 2023, 14:45 What do you think he will do? Will he fight Joe Joyce, Andy Ruiz or have a fourth fight with Dereck Chisora? Or will he retire?
Personally, I'd like to see Fury-Joyce, but we boxing fans may need to settle for a softer opponent.
Shouldn’t one of the absolute non negotiable things in boxing be the best fight the best?Mexi-Box wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 20:16 I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next. It's a huge fight, and Fury/Usyk isn't that big of a fight.
Outside of hardcores, though does anyone really care about Usyk/Fury? No one really knows who the hell Usyk is, and if he becomes undisputed, would anyone really care?
Not trying to hate, but wouldn't Parker/Fury also do more money than Usyk/Fury. I'm an Usyk fan, but as far as I know, the dude doesn't draw flies. I don't even think he's as popular as the Klitschkos. I could be wrong because I'm no European authority, but is he even comparable to the Klitschkos?
really nothing changed, except the fight not happening end of April.Contendeh wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 22:02Shouldn’t one of the absolute non negotiable things in boxing be the best fight the best?Mexi-Box wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 20:16 I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next. Why should we as fans settle? The two best heavies right now are usyk and Fury. Why the hell should I watch Fury fight the guy usyk beat twice? Why should I watch usyk fight the guy Fury beat twice?
I will watch usyk fight anyone. He is the the champion and deservedly so. I am sorry, Fury has lost his fight with Usyk by default. He is second fiddle. I really don’t give a damn what less knowledgeable fans think or if lesser fighters fill bigger stadiums.
There is no doubt about your opinion.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 20:16 I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next. It's a huge fight, and Fury/Usyk isn't that big of a fight.

I'd say more people in the UK know who Usyk is than Joyce, Parker and Dubois.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 20:16 I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next. It's a huge fight, and Fury/Usyk isn't that big of a fight.

Yeah but one can argue that is strictly because of all the drama that Tyson Fury started. Even with Usyk beating Joshua twice most people care to see Joshua more against Fury, even though that fight should have happened 3 or 4 years ago.joshj909 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2023, 08:01I'd say more people in the UK know who Usyk is than Joyce, Parker and Dubois.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑29 Mar 2023, 20:16 I wouldn't be mad if he fights Joshua next.
