Very fair assessment Magsmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑25 Apr 2023, 10:23 sunny also lost 4-5 rounds last fight, yet for some reason people still said he schooled his opponent. the pakistani guy gave him some hard times too
that said, he is a very good boxer, you have to be to get as far as he has with absolutely no power. very good movement and hits on the move (rather than simply hits and then moves) as well as anyone in boxing right now. unlike the typical stink merchant, his work rate is actually decent, he just cant put a dent in anyone so if you get an outclassed opponent it can turn into a boring fight, the same thing over and over, lacking any sort of drama or highlight , etc
vs good opponents, i am interested in his fights. would be interested in him fighting nakatani, who is so much taller and has skill and power, but he moved up. i used to love the sunneh-jcm match, and still would liek it, but jcm seems to have regressed. now with sun at matchroom, a bam fight would be in house, so that's super cool
I guess I like him because he has no power, he has to put in work, and outscore his opponents while having nothing to deter them with. And to win like that, that is always special.
