 it was in such hale and heart health previously, of course.
The division sucked bad enough with Hearn, Arum, Warren, etc throwing their weight around holding the fights for ransom at different times, but you gotta admit this makes things worse because everybody will figure they can just sit on their ass all year until they fight once in Saudi Arabia.

Gary Russell Jnr would loved working with the Saudis.

Usyk's manager says the Saudis will make Fury one offer to fight Usyk in December and one offer only, and he can "take it or leave it."

Plenty of bravado in that statement but I suspect Fury will only see that as a challenge to force them into further negotiation. As far as December goes, they probably need Fury more than he needs them and I suspect he will make them aware of that.

If the Saudis are the only way we get the required big fights at Heavyweight then I'm all for it.

Otherwise its a lit of big talk on social media followed by everyone avoiding each other and then being bogged down in meaningless fights.

What makes them (team Usyk) so sure that the Saudis won't offer other deals to Fury? It seems to me the Ukrainian's are now trying to hold a monopoly over the heavyweight division by saying essentially this: "We will never fight Fury unless it's now and this deal and in Saudi Arabia or never."

I'm not, not if it requires that boxing has to be bankrolled by known criminals.

I'd say that's somewhat naïve considering the history of boxing 's links to crime.

I'm well aware of boxing's history thanks, especially the fact it was run by the mob in the US for many decades.

Does that mean we should just accept any level of corruption going?

We used to have serfdom too, I guess the people who wanted the right to vote were naive in wanting a better system?

It is hard not to get that sort of impression.

Have to wonder how hard also it will be to score a points victory over Usyk in Saudi, in December?

Why would that matter?
You don’t think a man who can bear any man born from his mother can stop a middleweight?

My point is he might have to stop Usyk to get the win and that is a lot of extra and unnecessary pressure.

Fury had the chance for home advantage with Wembley booked for April 29th, but decided to take a family holiday to Tenerife, a trip over to Saudi, not start a proper training camp, not get any suitable sparring partners in place, not have his trainer in place....he held all the aces but threw them away.
His fans excused it as Fury being smart, holding out for the mega bucks for a Saudi deal. The Saudi deal is apparently about to be presented to him. Don't complain, he had all the advantages but clearly didn't want that April 29th date at Wembley.

It so bizarre to me how quickly people who are supposedly boxing fans have forgotten all the bullshit from Tyson Fury, not only for years but very recently.

Still not seeing the issue?

Oh my - the poor little lamb, however will he cope? Who would have thought that being a heavyweight boxing champion would have carried such a dreadful burden?

It is truly a burden if you know unless you knock your opponent out you probably can't win. But as corrupt as that scenario is, many have faced it before.

Oh do give over...

If anything the Saudis will want a win for Fury, as he is a bigger ticket seller, they will want other big fights, and Fury has bigger following.
