Eubank Snr on Talksport - Shocking.

I found it a tough watch but not as bad as some of his interviews a few months back.

On several of his points he was factually incorrect and I didn’t like him speaking so negatively about his son. Can’t be nice for junior to be hearing his dad call him a charlatan.

Frank Smith (who’s engaged to Chris Eubank’s daughter) said that people shouldn’t be interviewing him at the moment.

He would is'nt he vice president or something of matchroom , the very same mob Chris says were behind the move for the weight drop he said amounted to attempted murder , I know attemted murder is a bit strong but Chris was venhemently opposed to it from the start and looking back in hindsight at Eubanks performance at the lower weiht against Smith where he definetly appeared drained , you really do have to say to yourself maybee a roided up Benn may well off injured him badly ,
After all Eubank has seen what damage can be done in the ring ,, Me thinks there will be no nice sit down familly sunday dinners with Frank Smith for a long long time

Matchroom will do what they can to even the odds for the person they work for i.E. Benn who was moving up 10lbs to the contracted 157lbs.

Eubank Jr has his own promoter who could/perhaps should have held firm at 160.

It was only 9 months or so ago when Eubank Senior was admitted to a mental health hospital and has appeared mentally in a very bad place in the last 12 months.

I found the TalkSPORT segment a tough watch as Senior was heavily criticising his own son. I can’t imagine there are many fathers that will choose to go on a show to openly do that to their kid.

It’s one thing post the Groves fight being honest on Junior’s ability, it’s another calling him a charlatan etc. seemingly because he no longer wants his dad involved with camp.

I listened to about 15 minutes but was busy so switched it off but will go back to it, from what I heard I didn’t think he sounded that bad tbf. He was on a game show a couple of months ago where they locked celebs in a completely dark room and got them to perform tasks but I missed it, did anyone see him in that as I remember thinking at the time that didn’t look a great thing for him to be doing.

Edit: just listened to it all, for the most part seemed ok but at the end it all got a bit weird talking about the Queen

Ha yes true, he does seem a bit fixated with the Queen. I like Snr though, he’s a one off but full of contradictions
