If we're talking being genuinely bored to death to the point it was the audience needing the smelling salts Nelson vs De Leon is an obvious contender

If we're talking don't bother paying someone because they're not trying and are bringing the sport in to disrepute the so called world title fight between Audley Harrison and David Haye is one I would nominate. The only reason Harrison got a title show was because the WBA had a British champion which meant a British contender could fill a stadium and he was exposed as the fraud he was. Talking of David Haye when he won against Valuev he had a bizarre technique where he'd slip under the Russian giant with one punch then retreat before Valuev could respond then Haye would get on his bike before doing the same thing again. It was torture to watch

But if we're talking let's interrogatte the ref and officials because this fight is very suspect then Sven Ottke vs Robin Reid is the clear winner . Only fight I've seen when the ref warns a boxer for merely hitting his opponent. I suprised the WBA and IBF reps didn't jump in to the ring and ask the ref what he was playing at ?

Fair point, Ottke vs Reid was unbelievable with that ref. No way was Reid going to win that fight. If he’d knocked him out, he would have been disqualified.

Alexander vs Bailey was one of the most boring fights I've ever watched. Seriously, pretty sure you can count on two hands the amount of punches thrown and landed.

Richar Abril had some horrific fights too. Pretty sure his fight with Bogere should've been sanctioned as an MMA fight.

It wasn’t a title fight but Malik Scott’s performance against Luis Ortiz in their fight has to be the ugliest and most downright bizarre thing I’ve ever seen.

Rabeh was mostly trying to avoid being hit, but was outlanding Urango because of his longer reach and Urango's inability to get inside. Because Urango was the aggressor, he won by unanimous decision, but it was not effective aggression. Scores were 117-111, 116-112, and 115-113, but arguably Rabeh should have been the winner. Urango lost his first title defense to Ricky Hatton by unanimous decision.

Rabeh consistently crossed the line between good ring movement and just running.
It's a combat sport not a track meet.
That decision was correct.

Bit of an obscure one but back in the day (June 2003) when I was working night shift, one of the domestic channel, 4 or 5, showed ESPN2 fights on a day delay.

The opening fight on a Joe Mesi undercard was between Ross 'The Boss' Thompson, who had once fought Fernando Vargas for the 154-pound title, against journeyman Sam Reese at light-heavyweight.

It was only six rounds but has stuck with me ever since as the sloppiest, shitfest of a fight I've ever had the misfortune to witness. All at 3am as well.

Klitschko-Ibragimov.

Benn v Galvano 2 was a frustrating hold fest although it did get exciting in the last 2 seconds!

Sam Reese had a tendency to always try to stink out the joint as I recall. He was one of those journeymen that primarily just fought to survive. That usually doesn't make for a riveting contest.
