In the real world Joshua has managed to avoid Wilder for 7 years and has ducked Fury twice in the past 9 months.

If the fight happens and I think it will, then Hearn and AJ are taking the fight because they 100% think Joshua will win. I used to swap the odd email with Eddie (although not anymore) and if there's one thing he definitely does, that's back his fighters - sometimes to a fault.

Fury kept his mouth shut recently but Joshua’s team told GW they didn’t want the fight. He wanted to fight Whyte rather than the WBC champion.

The two sides couldn't agree terms that's all. It's no big deal. Fights only happen if both sides agree. It's quite simple really. Usyk wanted a rematch clause, Fury wouldn't give him one. They didn't agree, so the fight didn't happen. Fury agreed a rematch clause with a 36 year old debutant and that fight happened.
