There' appears to be a bit of a staring competition going on between Wilder and Joshua's camps at the moment.
Will Wilder even fight before meeting Joshua next year? He seems to want a fight in October but Hearn saying that would 'concern him' as he would rather see Wilder fight in September. I seriously doubt that worries Wilder.
Hearn says he has met with the Saudis a number of times, including twice over in Saudi Arabia, and is now putting a 2 to 3 week timeframe on wrapping the Wilder fight up. Otherwise he will 'look at a November/December fight for Joshua'.

Whyte's performance against Fury - or lack of it - is only part of what I base his decline on, but it is the most dramatic part. He has been very ordinary for years now.

A lot depends upon just what the WBC cancelling the Wilder v Ruiz matchup really means.
Does it mean paving the road clear to a Joshua v Wilder fight, which would be a great way to start the new boxing year?
Or does it mean they're simply continuing to bend over backwards to please Tyson Fury by allowing him to hold their belt whilst still hand picking soft targets?

Sulaimán. made a statement a while back to the effect of 'WBC champion Fury has repeatedly attempted to make fights but couldn't' and that it was on that basis that the WBC was giving Fury the green light to fight Ngannou.
The combination of Wilder and Ruiz's reluctance to get in the ring and resolve the mandatory position and the flickering vision of the mirage in the Saudi Arabian desert, are major contributors to where things sit.

Their rematch is probably going to feature as one of Wilder's testimonial fights.
Last time I heard Charlie wasn't doing so well, so perhaps the money could prove useful.
If Wilder doesn't fight Joshua, especially after pulling out of the Ruiz fight, then he's joining his pal Fury as a sham HW.
Fingers crossed that the Saudi money is just too big to refuse for Deontay.

I wasn't sure after watching it if Fury won that fight or if Wladimir lost it. I told my friend who is a casual fan to go ahead and watch Wlad vs Joshua but not that fight. I would rather watch all of his fights with Wilder than to watch that fight again.
