Kabayel has a 1 in 50 chance IMO.
Miller is the most likely upset for me. I just don't see Joshua having any issues with Wallin, who hits like an 11 year old.

joshj909 wrote: 12 Dec 2023, 11:52 Just looked at the odds. You get:
Makhmudov 1/10
Sanchez 1/16
Hrgovic 1/50
Bivol 1/25
Dubois 1/4
Opetaia 1/25
Wilder 1/7
Joshua 1/4

An 8 fold accumulator gets you odds of 13/10

Where's the upset(s)? Kabayel (11/2) and Miller (3/1) might be slightly undervalued. Possibly Parker too (9/2). Not saying they'll win but the odds are a slightly wide in my opinion.

Wilder is the heavy favourite but Parker's superior boxing skills must give him a chance.

Plus there's the uncertainty of not knowing which of them is more shot.

Let's not also forget that Parker is only 31 and that Wilder is 38.

As for Miller, if he's still on PEDs, then he's certainly got a chance.

If not, Daniel Dubois will enjoy dismantling a large stationary target.

I've gone for Sanchez by Points, then Makhmudov and Hrgovic by KO at about 8/1.

Also gone for Miller by points, Parker by points and Joshua by KO at about 300/1.

Also a small one on at 42,000/1  Kabayel, Sanchez and Miller by points with Hrgovic, Parker and Joshua by KO. Keep your fingers crossed for me

Joshua KO Wallin mid fight
Parker TKO Wilder (Wilders legs are shot and has no punch resistance, he goes early)
Miller TKO Dubois late
Makhmudov KO Kabayel
Hrgovic UD De Mori
Sanchez TKO Fa

Non-heavyweight fights:

Bivol late TKO Arthur

No expert on the details of PED use but is it not possible that Miller has already completed a cycle of use and can get the benefits on the night without worry of getting caught (this time)?
I'm expecting the Dubois that troubled Usyk to dispatch Miller unless Fat Ass has great benefits from the juice.

I got hassled for that :OhYes:
Sure De Mori could easily get blasted out in seconds, but I see a boring spoiler hold-fest that goes the distance. This is the biggest stage a lot of these guys have been on. So I expect that all of them train hard as they can, and won't go over easy because this is their biggest audience.

last time de mori boxed on the big stage, about 7 years ago, he was blasted out in 2 minutes. now he's 41

his last opponent was a 5'6 indonesian. his highest rated opponent since the haye loss is currently #688. he's only gone past 4 rounds once in the last decade. nearly all his fights have been vs punching bags and he's never developed or shown any good spoiling skills. he does not have the skill, talent, experience, or fitness to last 12 vs hrg, who is a top 10 fighter with some power. i dont see any reason to think he'll last markedly longer than he did the first time around this level

i think every hw on this card would stop him, and even the light heavies and cruisers would beat him

I'd guess that any professional boxer in the crowd that night would beat him as well, regardless of their weight class.

De Mori might as well turn the shower on just prior to doing his ring walk. The water should be just getting hot when he returns a few minutes later.

I think Miller actually has a very good chance of beating Dubois, it seems like a 50-50 fight to me.

And the odds for Wilder over Parker and Makhmudov over Kabayel are too wide. It should be Wilder 1/2 and Makhmudov 1/4.

The other odds make sense.

Wilder 213
Parker 245

30 + Pounds is a significant advantage.
Can Wilder go 12 ?

I’m picking all the favourites beside AJ. I believe Wallin will outwork and outsmart him. Whether that is reflected on the judge’s scorecards is another story.

I think it's an upset too many  I think Makhmudov could be a future champ and Kabayel looked terrible in his last fight. Wilder has come in at his optimum weight. They're all viable though.

It's interesting that according to the opinions here, only Hrgovic and Bivol are considered absolutely certainties.

I think that's about right.

As an AJ fan, and probably because I'm biased a little, I find it a little worrying that Wilder is considered a bigger favourite than Joshua tonight.

Wallin certainly has a great record and is a tricky southpaw but I still think a key factor might be that Riyadh is now almost a second home to AJ.

There also the fact that he's had 24 rounds against one of the most elusive heavyweights in history.

Wallin might be good, but he's no Usyk.
