Egan v Fury would be an ok scrap, similar levels as pros, from what I recall, similar age.

I remember my old pal Ranald Graham, wrote Joe Egan's biography for him, he said he never stopped talking, and it was invariably unintelligble bollix, and that he repeated himself endlessly, so much, that most of the interviews were completely unusable.

Joe only had 4 pro fights, with a decade gap between fights 3 and 4. Lots more am experience though, beat Bruce Seldon in ams and was a national champ. I'd guess Joe would have battered John as young pros. No idea now, it's all a bit cringe watching pensioners beg a money fight.

Evander Holyfield, in great shape and who had trained was in a horrible and dangerous spectacle getting bashed up against a MMA fighter in a comeback.

I think deep down Fury is sensible enough to duck out of any proposed fights, but is a blowhard who lets his mouth run away from him.

Unfortunately in this dirty business promoters are keen for him to sound off on the top table as he puts bums on seats. In reality he should never be allowed near a press conference.
