I remember waking up hearing Tyson had lost to Douglas on the radio. I genuinely thought it was a wind-up.

This one isn't close, it's Tyson-Douglas.
And it's not even that I thought Tyson was unbeatable, it's that Douglas was just about the last guy I'd pick to beat him. A lazy guy who didn't train and had a questionable heart. I was already surprised when the bell for the second round sounded.

Fury-Ngannou. I was playing chauffeur for the daughter that night and listened to it on the radio. I literally had my mouth wide open when they described the knockdown.

At the time it was Benn v Watson.

Even though this was my era of Boxing there was very little information on Watson in the media or coverage on TV. Benn was everywhere, he had far more media coverage and all his fights were broadcast.

Man I was in shock after the fight.

When we had all the media available, such as internet it was clear to see who was the better boxer on paper, Watson fought the far better opposition .

Hearns v Duran.
I could see Hearns probably winning a decision if he didn’t get tagged, but never in a million years did I see Duran getting put to sleep like that

Ryan Rhodes getting walloped by Jason Matthews shocked me at the time.

Spice Boy had just gone the full course with Otis Grant, which appeared to have ticked a few boxes even in defeat.

Was there that night. That was when they used to have 'big' fights at the Donny Dome.

Don't want to rub it in, but I had Bellew to win in the 11th and mistakenly put the bet on twice :yay: ;-)

In hindsight it was far from a shock, but another for me was Hide vs Klitschko. Hide was getting a good sky profile in his second reign and was headling uk legs of ppvs (those were the days) and was blitzing them away

That's a great one. Vitali's staredown was intense. Gary Mason excellent on comms too. Hides eyes went in different directions after the final knockdown

A shocker in a different way: Calzaghe v Starie. Looked certain to be a great fight but absolute let down

Good call. Benn just looked like he would blast through everyone at that stage.

When Chavez got dumped on his bum and outpointed by Randall.
