With both of my stable coming off losses, and the Million Dollar Tournament looming on the Horizon meaning tough bouts are about to the one and only path being taken for the next several weeks. I think it's fitting to have a softer touch this week in preparation of such a massive undertaking.

In order to get my boys ready to get themselves back into Royal standing, I'll have 'em take down some Princes this week.

Ezzard Charles will take on Prince Badi Ajamu

Bob Fitzsimmons will take on Prince Charles Williams.

The IBO and the lineal are of persona non gratis status in the MDT. Sam goes forward with the lineal for sure....and hangs on to the the IBO if shuffleshits says so.

So if Sam or someone who defeats sam collects a belt along the way, it is of no consequence to the commissioners. However no more than one major strap could hypothetically be collected during the MDT. Because NO MAJOR BELTS WBA WBC WBO OR IBF will be unified during this tourney. THE WBO has agreed to following the other 3 belts guidelines. So unless P4P1 changes his mind mid stream...this is the way it is.

So....could the IBO, Lineal and ONE OTHER STrap be temporarily united? It's possible. The Lineal is subject to natural law......the major belts are under the strict guidance of Crease and Myself.....and the IBO......is the Shufflleshits show.

The only real question is......will champions be able to face each other at all? Or will they be forced to avoid each other even if that means we change the natural flow of the MDT? I favor such hypothetical matchups to simply be non title fights. And the MDT will follow it's mission statement to the full extent.

By the way....Bivens and Rosenbloom will be participating.

Why is everyone making this tougher than it has to be? We've never had major belts not on the line in any tournament in the past, so why should this be any different? If we are sticking to 25 weeks, by the time this tournament is over, you barley have any time to unify the belts or give others an opportunity to gain a title if they haven't acquired one during the season.

As long as it doesn't bother the software, I say let it ride. Let the belts float around and be up for grabs. Makes the tournament even all the more exciting. A belt holder not defending his belt for multiple weeks seems pointless on being a belt holder to begin with. At least that is my vote.

I did want to match Johnson vs the scourge of the SIM, Braehmer but seeing as that match has not been 'legally' formalised or listed, I wouldn't mind running Gibbons - Johnson II, seeing as the 1st fight was an even draw.

If you fancy another route, ie a keep busy fight until the MDT, then no probs, Johnson will fight Braehmer.

Well, it's actually no more difficult either way for me. Once I completely understand it. But for me... It's no more difficult this way

An MDT was not something I have sorted before......so Non Title fights for a surprise tourney seemed fine with me. If one champ beats another during this tourney he has bragging rights, and probably a return match should be given priority. Didn't have a lot of time to think it through, but an independently organized MDT would likely be something sanctioning bodies would gripe about. So there is some realism to it. lol

Had we all sat round a table over a pint...it might be handled differently. I don't have history or precedent with this. AND>......this can now turn into a 30 week season if that helps. And no more surprise tourney's will be considered. Well except if the IBO or the WBO want one.

So sorry if it's disappointing, but performance points will be accumulating...or decreasing......The Lineal championship will travel along.....Shuffleshits can do as he wishes....and honestly the WBO can go rogue and allow it's champ to face or accept unifications.

The IBF, WBA and WBC champs will be frozen. The WBO could choose a different path. And next time....if we have an MDT and we want to consider it being a unification event....I'm all in.

Mr Buzz, perhaps my posts were not as clear as I thought they were but the WBO is on the line in every MDT fight that the champion enters.
We understand if the other sanctioning bodies do not wish to unify during the tournament. If Spinks (assuming he remains champion this week) was to fight a champion from another sanctioning body and that sanctioning body will not allow unifying belts the winner would have the option of claiming his new WBO belt and vacating his other belt (a move that we strongly support at the WBO) or allowing the WBO belt to be declared vacant.

Crease, as a minor belt the IBO should not be subjected to the same unification rules. The winner this week of the IBO title and its lineage there after will only carry on until the conclusion of the MDT at the latest, at which time I am confident the IBO title will be declared vacant.

Can you hold off for a day or so and see if we can swing this Langford v Tunney fight before offering a title shot to another party? We want the biggest fights possible that make the most $$$ at Bond-Packer and this is the fight that makes the most sense.

That's fine. As a matter of fact I am working on reasoning toward a middle ground. I'm not keen on Unifications...but acquisitions and relinquishments of titles are not a problem from my perspective. Just want to avoid unifications during this time.

We expect our competitors at the WBC, WBA and the IBF are spreading lies of tom foolery because we are raising the bar and setting standards, that they continue to limbo under.

Of course GBP has a strong standing with the WBO, it is hard to not respect one of the greatest promotions in sim history. If GBP wanted to have their two fighters box off in a title eliminator, we would of course be interested given the gate and PPVs the fight would demand. Rosenbloom of course is already one of our highest rank challengers who has had a slight drop off due to a recent loss against our Champion Spinks. Bivins has had a couple of close losses against our #1 ranked challenger Langford, who we are projecting to be the winner of the MDT at this stage and therefor will hold a championship. It is not unforeseeable that Bivins and Rosenbloom could meet for the WBO international title (title fights at any level get a slightly higher sanctioning fee due to the cost of our handmade, bespoke championship belts) in what would also be a title eliminator.
