Any Ruiz in a black top in a gym looking trimmer than usual… been about 10 years of that…

I'm fully invested
Thinner in the face, less flabby in the upper arms, good thigh muscles.
For sure, as Mags says, black top hides a bit- but then no one expects a chiseled Ruiz.
Thing is, that clip was prior to the camp for this fight.
And how much Ruiz do you need to beat the Miller we saw last time out?

Andy Ruiz seemingly gets in fantastic shape 2 months before a fight and adds 45 pounds of flab by fight night

A rematch that I wouldn't actually be against

I see it as a No Contest. The ring will collapse under the weight of those two causing a massive earthquake.

Should be an interesting fight. Puts or Keeps the winner in the Top 10, I like matchups between contenders so I'm for it.
I favor Ruiz ever so slightly, but a Miller victory would shock me none whatsoever. A Draw wouldn't shock me either.

If in the end a one guy here eats another one, will it be ruled as a KO win?

I think Dubois proved that Miller is quite far off being a contender. The only way Ruiz loses this fight is in his preparation for it.

dubois takes his career seriously at least and works hard in the ring
andy shoould win but he's lazy inside and out, so id put an outside but not impossible chance miller outworks him to at least make it close

Is this a 12 rounder?
I hope so.
Neither of those two can go that long without junk food.
Who is the first to have donuts and pizza delivered to their corner between rounds??
I'm saying lard-ass Ruiz.

Ruiz has not had a fight in nearly 2 years and only had 2 fights in 43 months.
We have no idea of ring rust or what type of shape he comes in.
Ruiz will be a month shy of 35 when this fight takes place. Will he age over night?
Logic says Ruiz should win this but I don't put it past him to come in at a rotund 275 and look like crap.
But who knows

“Keeps the winner in the top 10”.- that implies they are both top 10 which they are not.
And even if it was “puts the winner in the top 10” I am not sure it’s true…
In the last 5 years Ruiz has looked dogshit vs aj, looked dogshit vs areola, Looked dog shit vs Ortiz… that is it, 3 dogshit performances in 5 years and zero good ones…
Let’s go with millers last 5 years… dogshit vs bracamonte, beat an absolute tomato can (didn’t see it), dogshit vs lucus brown, and dogshit vs DDD…
If two guys that have looked exclusively dogshit for 5 years fight… is the winner top 10?

Well it keeps them in the Heavyweight conversation then how's that?

A 3rd rate HW novelty contest masquerading as a first rate fight which actually is little more than a means to leverage a future big money fight for the woefully inactive Andy Ruiz.
Perhaps the most interesting thing here will be who is going to enter the ring the more out of shape?
This fight, given both of their records, especially JM's, could also provide a legitimate argument in favour of abandoning all drug testing in boxing.
40 years of testing has done nothing to eradicate the issue or support the argument that it's overly dangerous to allow a fighter to use PEDs.
Surely logic is telling us that's it's actually more dangerous to allow one fighter to use PED's than to allow both?
In athletics and cycling, identified drug use has undermined most of the authenticity and credibility from those sports, and we can safely assume that the issue was even more prevalent than those numerous cases that we now know about.
I think it's high time we abandoned all pretence of drug testing. It doesn't work, has never worked, will never work and only hurts the honest.
Sport without a level playing field isn't really a sport at all. If what we're judging is athleticism, courage, skill, strategy, tactics, use of psychology, then the use of a few advanced masking drugs completely undermines everything.
Perhaps the legal use of PEDs should be considered in the same way that we allow F1 drivers to drive different cars?
And that's not to say that there isn't any cheating in F1, but at least it's better regulated cheating where we can judge the whole package.
Anyway, a sporting contest, this fight is a joke. However, as an entertainment, this could well be an oddly satisfying spectacle.

Miller vs Browne was one of the most oddly entertaining fights of last year. Hopefully we get a similar repeat of that.
